I feel so bad writing this, but I wanted to warn people after our experience. We've been loyal Glory's customers for years - love their lumpia and pancit. We got the 50 cooked lumpia on 12 Oct and picked it up around 1330 and when we got it home and started eating some of it, I bit into one and instantly spat it out. It was absolutely rancid. I threw that one away and ate another and it seemed ok so I thought maybe my brain was playing tricks on me. We got a few more out and the next day and out of 14 lumpia my husband and I came across about 9 that were just absolutely spoiled. We were breaking them open and smelling them after the first initial ones where we bit into them and realized they were off. I messaged them on Facebook but I guess they don't check their messages so unfortunately I'm having to post this publicly. I hope that it was a one time mess up but that is expensive! We threw out the rest of lumpia for fear of getting food sick. I'm not sure if they mixed an old batch that was bad without knowing it with a newer batch when they cooked it, but hopefully that was a mistake. Maybe just check any food you get from here to be safe? Hopefully this was a one time thing, but I'll be very wary about any lumpia from here...
Read moreWas craving pepperoni bread so I decided to stop by after work. When I asked if they had any the guy working the register told me they were out.
Something didn’t feel right so I asked my wife to call and ask if they had any. Wife couldn’t get a hold of them so she called her mom and asked her mom to ask them. My mother-in-law drove there, walked right in and purchased four pepperoni breads with no issue. She then signaled me to come into the store.
I confronted the front counter guy only to be met with lies about me being there 30-40mins ago and them really not having at the time. For the record my mother in law made him apologize for obviously lying so as to not have to provide any service to me.
Btw I waited in the parking lot for my mother in law to show up as she lives less than a mile away. Oh and the pepperoni breads were hours old. I know this because my mother in law buys that from them a lot and I know what fresh is from the experience of eating their bread for years.
That was my first and last time going there myself. Disclaimer: I’m African American and to top it off I...
Read moreI've been ordering Lumpia from Glory's Bakery for about 3 years. I use it for all my potlucks at work & any get together at my house. No complaints. I called to place an order of lumpia for pick up today & the lady who answered the phone proceeded to take my order, when I asked her whether or not she thought it would still taste good the day after she said "no, go buy them frozen, & cook it yourself" . . If I wanted it frozen or to cook it myself for that matter, I wouldn't have called to order. I sat quiet for a breif second & she then said "right now I'm so busy so what do you want?" As I started to talk again, she hung up on me. I didn't even bother calling back, bad customer service leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time. Busy or not, it's your job to answer the phones & cook in your bakery & if you didn't feel like doing that today, you shouldn't have opened up. Ive always been a loyal customer but I will not step foot back into Glory's Bakery for the nasty attitude of the woman who...
