Jade Garden — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

The lady there is very impatient. After her pushing back my order 3 different times I contacted the delivery service who contacted her while i was on the chat and informed her i would be coming. The customer service refunded my delivery fee and i was on my way there right after. 2 mins away i called to let her know i was pulling up and the lady said she sent it out. I asked why and she said i "took too long"which was impossible. I said well didnt the man on the phone tell you i was coming? She said "yes but the delivery driver came first so i gave to who ever came first." At that point im in the parking lot and the driver calls. The driver was very professional and courteous.The bourbon chicken was almost flavorless. The pork egg roll was very dry and hollow. The steak egg roll was ok. The fried rice was sweet. Its not worth the money unless your in the area and its convenient. I probably won't be ordering there again. I wasted my whole lunch break waiting for that order. I am sorry, I really am. I accidentally ordered from this place when I MEANT to order from the Jade Garden on General Booth (who are amazing btw) and oh my goodness I should’ve cancelled the order. The food, in general, just wasn’t great but that I can overlook. I cannot, however, overlook BAD food. I ordered the moo goo gai pan and when I say that the pieces of baby corn were rotten, I mean THEY WERE ROTTEN. If you’ve ever smelled cantaloupe or watermelon that’s gone off and it’s kind of a sweet but putrefying odor? That’s exactly what these smelled (and sadly) tasted like. After I ate one small piece of the corn I thought maybe it was just me but, no, it definitely wasn’t; it was bad. The rest of the items looked and smelled fine but I was honestly too grossed out and too worried I would get sick to eat any more of it. The egg roll I ordered was actually a spring roll and it had WAY too much ginger in it. I’m sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this place to a starving rat and I will never order from them...

Overall not what you come to expect from a 4.0 rated restuarant. The order took 1 hour and 15 minutes for delivery. Food cold. I ordered entree was missing, called the restaurant they said they would have it for me in short order. Then an older woman from Restaurant called and spent 10 minutes telling me it was there. Then yelling at me over the phone that we weren't going to get it unless we paid again. I informed her we were on our way. Once at the restaurant on initial contact the staff seemed as though they didn't know what we were talking about. As if the never heard of the missing entree. Then the older woman came to the front and I told her that we didn't have the order, she put her hand up at me, and began telling the caucasian gentleman with me, that if we couldn't find it, she'd make it for free.
