As the person named in this review, I feel it’s important to clarify the full context of what happened that day.
At the time of this customer’s visit, I had just witnessed a man die near our store. I and a group of witnesses were instrumental in contacting and directing emergency services to the crash site where he was fatally injured. It was an extremely traumatic and chaotic situation for both myself and the team.
In addition, our door sensor was broken, so we were not alerted to her arrival. As soon as we saw her, a team member—who wasn’t even on the clock yet—stepped in immediately to assist.
When the customer shared that she hadn’t been greeted, I took the time to explain the situation to her directly: the door malfunction, the emergency that had just occurred, and why there may have been a delay. Despite this, she continued to say “It’s fine” and declined to share any further concerns. I made multiple attempts to understand how I could help, but she wouldn’t engage even saying if she was really upset she would've just left.
She also claimed I was chatting with staff instead of working—what she didn’t know is that the coworker I was speaking with had sprained her leg during her shift. I was checking on her health and safety at the end of my own shift, making sure she wasn’t at risk of further injury.
It’s deeply upsetting to be labeled unprofessional and unempathetic when I was navigating a crisis, supporting my team through injury and trauma, and still trying to care for our customers. I don’t expect special treatment, but I do expect fairness.
I did my job that day with compassion, urgency, and care. I wish that had been acknowledged instead of...
Read moreMy recent visit to this Little Caesars location on Virginia Beach Blvd ( Birchwood) was extremely disappointing. The customer service was unacceptable. I stood at the front counter for six full minutes without being greeted or acknowledged. Several employees were gathered near the front—one was even eating pizza—while the rest stood around her chatting and ignoring customers.
The store has signs proudly honoring veterans, which caught my attention as I am a proud veteran myself. While I don’t expect special treatment, I do expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, especially in an establishment that claims to honor service members.
Eventually, a staff member who had just walked in for her shift noticed the lack of service and stepped up to help me—before even clocking in. I appreciated her professionalism, especially in contrast to the rest of the team.
When I asked to speak to a manager, things went from bad to worse. The manager, who I later found out is named T. Kelly (and is apparently the owner’s daughter), had a terrible attitude—rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Rather than addressing the issue, she made it clear she didn’t care.
To top it all off, as I was leaving, another employee walked in and joined the group in a loud, inappropriate conversation about menstruation, blood, bowel movements, and cramps—right in the customer area. Completely disgusting and highly unprofessional.
This experience was beyond disappointing. I will never return to this location again and strongly advise others to avoid it as well. Management clearly sets the tone for the poor behavior...
Read moreI placed an online order for portal pickup and showed up a little early. I knew I might have to wait, and that was totally fine—I wasn’t in a rush. There were a few other customers there too, just waiting quietly for their orders. What I didn’t expect was the energy coming from the girl working the counter.
She seemed irritated from the moment I walked in—like she was annoyed that people were even showing up to pick up food. She was short with customers, snapping responses and clearly just over it. I sat down and minded my business, but the way she was talking to people felt unnecessarily rude.
Then, while I was sitting there doing nothing but waiting, I overheard her tell a coworker she was trying to “hurry up and get her out of her damn line” and that I gave her a “bad vibe.” This was clearly about me—her tone, her body language, the side-eyes. It felt completely uncalled for. I hadn’t even spoken to her. I was literally just existing, waiting for pizza.
I get that people have bad days, and maybe she’s overworked or stressed, but that kind of attitude directed at customers—especially ones who aren’t causing any problems—is not okay. If she’s feeling overwhelmed, she needs support or a break, not to take it out on people who are just there to pick up their dinner.
Food was fine. I’ve never been to this location until now, and I hope it was just a one-off. But it definitely made me think twice about...
