Think of an upscale dollar store. That's what pOpshelf essentially is. Think shrinkflation. Most of the name brand items (particularly the food items) are put in smaller packaging with a cheaper (not always) sometimes steeper price. Almost all name brand items that you find in this store can be found cheaper elsewhere. Same $17 bottle of prosecco I picked up from Total Wine for $11.50. Oreo cookies? $4. And the other off brand stuff, well, it's cheap cause it's made cheap. A kind old lady just wanting hairspray said she'd be better off at the dollar store. Another lady pushed her empty cart to the cart return and walked out empty-handed, as did my wife and I. This place won't last long. Shame. Pretty clean...

Read morePopshelf is a well-designed, clean store with very helpful staff. They have staples, home goods, and seasonal novelties. The snacks and health items are great, and I absolutely adore the pen selection and color-coordinated display. It's primarily self-checkout, so it's very friendly for headphones-on solo shopping. The rotating selection is both great and a little inconvienient - I wish they permanently carried organic cotton period products! I also wish they had more skincare options without sulfates...
