This Pollard's Chicken is located at the corner of Great Neck Rd. and Virginia Beach Blvd. It is easiest to get to it from heading west on Virginia Beach Blvd. or south on Great Neck Rd. I have passed this place several times over the years but had never made it in here until then. My first visit here was around midday on December 31, 2021. There was parking available when I came in. However, there was quite a bit of traffic as there is a Starbucks pretty much next to this place and they were extremely busy that day. It can make it difficult at times when it is so busy there at the Starbucks. After taking an outside view of the place, I went inside. It wasn't too busy inside, and since I had looked at the menu online before coming in, I had an idea of what I was looking for. I went up to the counter and they were ready for me to order. I ended up going with the fried chicken with two breasts and two legs. For the sides, I chose the macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. The cost was similar to other fried chicken joints in the area. A few minutes after ordering and paying, one of the workers let me know that it would be about 15 minutes as they needed to cook some more chicken. Many of the other people waiting were delivery drivers for food delivery apps. Even though I didn't order a drink, they offered a drink cup to me for the wait. It's these little things like that that make things a bit better. After about ten minutes or so, my order was complete, and I was able to pick it up and head home to eat it. After getting home, I opened the box and it looked really good. It had everything I ordered in there. Even though it took a little while to get home, everything was still hot. All of the chicken there was really good, and it was tender and juicy too. The mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese for sides were really good too. The puffs were good as well. Overall, I had a really good experience for my first visit to Pollard's Chicken. I am totally adding them to my list of places I will come back to. Next time, I think I am going to try the roasted chicken. If you're looking for a good, local chicken place, this place definitely fits the bill, and you should definitely cluck (check) them out.

Our company ordered Pollards' boxed lunches for our employees and we were extremely impressed with our entire experience. It was very simple to order online, with several options to choose from (we narrowed it down to three). Once we ordered, we were sent a confirmation email and itemized list of everything we selected. The driver arrived to our building early and the delivery process was flawless. The individual boxes were labeled, which made it super easy for employees to identify their meal. The boxes even had a tamper evident seal on them. Not to mention the actual food was awesome too! From portion size to quality to price, everything was perfect. We have some very satisfied (and well fed) employees. I highly recommend their catering and will be ordering from them again.

I've been a loyal customer of Pollard's Chicken for years and usually love their food — it's consistently delicious and well-prepared. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was completely unacceptable. I was served raw, half-cooked chicken, and to make matters worse, I discovered it in front of my peers while we were eating together. It was extremely embarrassing and honestly a health risk. I never expected something like this from a place I trust and recommend to others. Mistakes happen, but undercooked poultry is a serious issue. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures proper food safety checks are in place moving forward. I’d like to continue supporting Pollard’s, but this really shook my confidence.

Avoid catering with this company

We made a catering order on October 24 for October 28 by calling the main catering number. A gentleman answered and took our order. So far so good....

We called on October 27th to confirm and the a gentleman answered the phone and confirmed that our order would be ready at 1 pm at the Witchduck location. I arrived at the witchduck location at 12:50 and....

... THEY DIDN'T HAVE MY ORDER OR ANY RECORD OF IT. The lady, who I'm assuming is the manager or the person in charge, called around to all the other locations and no one had any record. She even called the restuarant that was attached to the main catering office and they had no idea what in was talking about. I showed the lady at Witchduck my credit card statement that showed the money I spent.

We were super excited for our baby's 1 year birthday party and this bummed us out. I had to wait at the store until they could remake my entire order.

If you want food that you can't do without, dont cater from pollard's, the risk is too high (at least for us). I will say though, the lady that was managing the Witchduck location was helpful and saved the day - even if I did have to arrive at my first child's birthday party late and out of costume, and even if I had to walk 10 min cause all the guests took my parking (smh...), she still helped me...

We were in the area at the Asian market on Great Neck and walked down to Pollards and decided to go in and get something quick to eat. The door was unlocked and the open sign was on with all of the lights on so we went in. Before we could make it through the second door the lady took off to the back and the other lady that was randomly laid out across the chair said it’s 8 o’clock and the girl that went to the back came back out and said oh we are closed. Before I could say okay have a nice night, the lazy looking girl laying down yelled out “Not tonight!” as we were leaving. The rude unprofessional behavior was uncalled for and if you were closing you should have been locking the doors and turning off the sign so customers know to go elsewhere. I don’t care which city I am in Pollards is just ghetto af unless they are catering and you don’t have to deal with anyone. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten there because the food is just okay at best but you definitely don’t have to worry about me coming back. I am sitting in my car typing this review before I drive off and all of the staff already walked out of the building five minutes later. Did they clean anything because they were just laying around talking. Thank you for not serving my family. We may have just avoided a potentially...
