Had a reservation at 6pm and was told to wait for fifteen minutes. Finally got a table and ordered our meal and was made to wait for over an hour for our food. The server we had was on point with being attentive to our table. But I don't know if they are understaffed or what but there professional attitude to a good meal experience is subpar at best. If you like wasting your time come here,I for one have better ways. But in truth 1 star is very gracious if it wasn't for our server this place would get a zero out of five. We were here to celebrate my best friends 10 year wedding anniversary and other than enjoying each other's company none of our party enjoyed this experience. Well for an update on my dining experience here red lobster the manager was brought to our table And my mother described that the lobster twin tail menu item was way overcooked I mean the food was inedible for my nannays experience, For she is on a special diet regiment And can only eat certain items for her choloric intake. The manager was very understandable and comp the seafood trio off of the overall price of the total of our bill and took the twin tail lobster meal and wen remade it Without any hesitation. Again I reiterate that if you want a very bad dining experiencome to red lobster on lynnhaven Parkway in virginia beach next to Lynnhaven mall. For my personal tastes I would recommend either chic's bar out on shore drive or Bubba seafood on West Great Neck road. I for one don't recommend this place at all for anyone wanting seafood or a dining experience worthwhile. Google reviews are lucky I can't leave a 0 star on this review because that is what it deserves. And furthermore is the 2nd time I've been here for an occasion with my best friend and sudo dad And each time it was a poor experience but since my friend/dad is very important to me I just go along with the flow just to make him happy but each time it has been a failure on the staff Here at this restaurant. And a quick tip bit for anyone that wants a dining in experience from this place get a to-go order because it will be way faster in my opinion For this place might as well be a fast food joint Because this place definitely isn't worth the 4.2 stars it's rated as on Google as a restaurant or family get together! These people need to go ahead and relearn what it is to be restaurant professionals because I think they have lost touch in their humanity for better service bad red lobster bad You can do better you...
Read moreIt was the most disgusting experience I've ever had at a Red Lobster. I arrived around 12:15 pm. I was ordering carry out at the bar. The waiter, Daniel M, was very rude and unprofessional. First of all he took his time even acknowledging my presence when he finally said I'll be with you shortly. Mind you, it's only two other people in the bar area. One person seated in a booth and a couple at the bar who had already ordered. So he walks past me several times and he looked at me and saw I was getting irritated so he said "I'm sorry but everybody's calling me at one time." Excuse me, it's nobody in here but 2 people besides myself. But what really irritated me was how attentive he was to the needs of the white couple at the bar. And yes, the waiter was African American and so am I. The white couple would ask him a question or ask for tea or whatever and he answered their questions so politely and was at their beck and call. Rushed right away to get the tea. Even asked them if they would like certain condiments just offering to help them in any way he could. When I was about to leave, he finally came to take my order with an attitude. But what finally did it was when I got home I noticed one of the items I ordered wasn't in the bag. I go back to Red Lobster to get it. The hostess said she would let Daniel know and she told me he would be right out with it. Yes, he came out and handed me the item. He was very stand offish and didn't apologize or even open his mouth and say a word for omitting the item in the first place. You inconvenienced me by having to make another trip back to get the item you should have put in the bag from the beginning. Looked at me like I dare you come back here and embarrass me. Well Daniel, you are an embarrassment and Red Lobster needs to be more careful and selective about the type of people they employ. You shouldn't judge people and you need to respect everyone, regardless of their race. See, you got it twisted...I don't need you. My business pays your salary and my job pays me $25.00 an hour. I doubt very seriously if I will visit this Red Lobster again and if so, it won't be carry out and pray the dine in service is much better. I wouldn't recommend this Red Lobster to anyone and most definitely tell my friends and family about my horrible experience...
Read moreOverall average experience, beginning of the experience was looking at the bar to notice it was covered with used cups. I went by myself so I was willing to sit at the bar if there was available seating. Hostess came to greet me and stated that there may be a wait. She came back a few minutes later to seat me and I was perplexed because there were only 5 or 6 tables with folks eating. She took me to a table and chairs that have been freshly wiped and required drying prior to being seated. The waiter seemed busy at the time but it took about 5 minutes to get my drink ordered. I was shocked to find out that Red Lobster doesn’t offer corn on the cob as a side only with the seafood boil bags which are pre made apparently. Even google states that Red Lobster has corn on the cob as a side which was confusing. Ordered a cup of clam chowder and when it arrived the waiter stated that the only utensils he could find was plastic wear. After two bites I noticed the soup had a bad smell and sour taste. I notified the waiter and he offered a free salad and to remove the clam chowder that they would not be able to make anymore soup as if it was the only soup for the whole day which may explain why it was sour. Google states that sour clam chowder is caused by bacteria growth and sitting at luke temperature for extended periods of time or improper storing. I received my dishes and I believe the manager had brought them out along with butter after I asked. To the surprise of my waiter he then asked me if I wanted a bib, crab cracker and plate to throw shells into. Almost felt like the communication was lacking and if the customer orders shellfish it should be automatic to receive those items prior to receiving vice after the customer has already been digging in. I debated giving a review because I could tell the waiter was trying but before I got home I became ill and my stomach hasn’t been settled since I left. This was an honest review and I only want to provide constructive criticism because I understand that there are many moving parts to...
