Express — Local services in Virginia Beach

Went here a couple times. One was for a formal dress up when we were going to DC around Feb 2020 and now a couple of days ago for a good wedding outfit as the suit jacket I was wearing wasn't going to be done being fitted until a later date. Back in Feb 2020, the guy helping us out helped us find the perfect formal outfit that suited us. He was very patient and attentive. A couple of days ago, they were about to close but I was in a rush as the wedding was today and I needed to at least think of what to wear. I had just gotten off of work with little time to spare. Another guy helped me out (cant remember his name but props to him!), he was still very attentive and I was indecisive trying to picture everything in my mind if it would have worked. In the end, I just chose a polo shirt that was hanging up while we were both brainstorming as there were a lot of perfect outfits drawn out but most didn't fit my body. Express wonders why they are going bankrupt! Because they hire anyone to run their stores and their employees are the rudest people especially at lynnhaven mall. The store manager Catherine has the nastiest attitude towards customers and her staff. I overheard her talking about how she doesn't like dealing with Black customers, I guess she thought no one could hear her, like the audacity so I asked another employee what was her name. All people, no matter the color help keep this business afloat. Disgusting behavior especially to learn she is the store manager.

Then a young man with black nails also very rude asked him about something on clearance because it didn't ring up and he just had an complete attitude but the young man ringing didn't want to give me his name . Overall I wouldn't shop at this store or recommend it to anyone. If express hires these type of people no one should...

Horrible service. Furlough must've really had its way with this store because a 4.5 rating is unbelievable when someone could leave a store, talk to someone else about the experience, come back with another person and relive the worst service ever all over again. I literally counted one representative walking pass me 10 times. Petite, light brown skin Black girl, honey blonde shoulder length hair, tan tank top and printed pants.
