Watch out for their shady practice. They will charge you for a pepperoni slice even though you SPECIFICALLY asked for a cheese slice.
Look at your receipts people. They will nickel and dime their own customers. More like a quarter to nearly a dollar! Cashier said it’s because the price was really higher. Fine, then change the prices like the establishment next to you who DIDN’T have a digital monitor but taped over with their new prices. We understand inflation and supply-chain issues.
Seriously, it still doesn’t explain why the worker can’t tell the difference between a cheese and pepperoni slice. Don’t they have pictures or words on the registers these days? On top of that, the pepperoni price on the receipt was HIGHER than what was advertised! You can’t tell me it’s standard practice to ring up a pepperoni slice on your customers receipt when they asked for a cheese slice just because you’re telling me that the price was suppose to be higher.
By law, your suppose to charge what you advertise out front. I demanded right then and there for a pepperoni slice after the server heated the cheese version. Keep the extra change too. The worker seems to nonchalantly want to justify the high prices instead of it being a one-off mishap of ringing up the wrong item or charging the wrong advertised price. Doubt it was a mistake with the way it was explained to me. Really, to take advantage of people when everyone is finally trying to get out during the pandemic and support local businesses. Also, why did they get rid of the kid’s menu? Most kids are hungry too.
Check online, this establishment charges more for a slice than the Sbarro’s near Washington D.C! This place needs to charge the right prices and for the right item. I don’t mind higher prices as long as it’s correctly displayed and it’s the item I clearly asked for. It’s not rocket science.
No need for the scripted response, comment card, etc. Make things right now! It would be unnecessarily to rehash this yet again on a online comment card. No way is this customer jumping through anymore hoops to get this message across in order for this place to change their practices. Citizens of Virginia Beach...
Read moreHad to go to Virginia Beach today and was pleased to see Sbarro in Lynnhaven Mall. Well I was pleased until I actually had the pizza. I grew up having Sbarro every time I went to the mall and had tried all their food over the years. After today, I can say I will never eat at another Sbarro the rest of my life.
First of all, the guy behind the counter was not friendly at all. He looked mad and did not smile or talk to the customers at all. He did not look like he wanted to be there and he looked like he did not want me there either. Luckily, the lady at the register was very friendly, otherwise I probably would have left without ordering.
Ok, so I order 4 slices of pizza anyways. Cost with tax was over $20 for 4 slices. I should have got 2 because we only each ate one piece and the other 2 went in the trash. Pizza crust was texture of frozen pizza you get at the store and did not have that fresh taste or chew. Pizza had so much grease it was dripping everywhere and parts of the dough were so soggy it fell apart. Pizza was also extremely salty and had almost no sauce on it and little cheese. One thing it did have a lot of was some cheap pepperoni. If I pay $5 for a slice of pizza, it should at least have quality pepperoni on it. The flavor was about the same as those frozen pizza bites you buy at the local store.
I was going to try the pasta, but it looked awful and there is not way I would even try it. It looked like it had been sitting for several days and the sauce was orange color vs a bright red.
I always wondered why all the Sbarro places were closing in the 90s...
Read moreI am frequent customer at Sabarro Normally the pizza is very good but today I tried to order a fresh slice of pepperoni pizza and was told they only had the one slice left that looked very dry. I asked if there was a fresh one and was told no by the lady taking orders. As soon as my slice came out of the warmer she brought out a fresh pizza. When I got my slice the pepperoni was very burnt and when I told her she argued that it was not burnt. She said they all are like that. I told her I eat her often, that’s not how they are. She rolled her eyes and put a new slice in the warmer. The young guy at the register said “she’s new here” and I said well that’s not very good customer service. He also stated he understand it was burnt and that the cook was not the best today. The last thing I want is an argument when ordering my lunch. This is not acceptable service especially for the price of the pizza. I probably...
