This has been my go to Starbucks since moving to the area. Normally they are great! Iām taking one star due to a few of my recent experiences. Iām not sure if they are understaffed or just need to try and move faster when making the orders or what but every time I make a mobile order during their ābusy hoursā they are so far behind and Iām waiting 20 plus minutes including the time ahead of when I ordered through my mobile app.
Today was prime example, 10 am on a Saturday and it was slammed! Because they were so behind on the mobile orders.. there were a few people who complained and one who left due to having to wait too long and see people who came in order in person and get their items first and leave! So I can understand their frustration.. Iāve worked in food/service and the retail industry so my patience is normally pretty high because I get it, I know what itās like to be slammed and you can only work so fast. However I also made sure to bust my tail so to speak and provide excellent customer service. Not dilly dally and take my sweet time.
Here is my complaint, for mobile orders at this location you have to wait in line behind people who just arrived/ordering in the present. Isnāt the point of ordering through the app is to skip the line and just go the mobile or station? Second, when I did get up there and said I had a mobile the girl working (she looked new because she looked confused or nervous or unsure) the register did not even bother looking for my order, just told me it would be ready shortly. There were 3 bags next to her on the counter.. I thought to myself I bet my food is one of those bags but whatever, maybe not and I will wait. 20 mins goes by another worker (bless her!) she was calling names and moving!! Working hard! She grabbed the 3 bags that I saw earlier and sure enough not only my order was there but so were others who had been waiting as well.. shocker. Then there was a barista with blond hair who just looked absolutely miserable that she didnāt want to be there working. Maybe she was having a bad day? Idk. But the thing that bothered me about her was not only her attitude but when she was done making drinks she just placed them down and didnāt say a single name. Now common sense when you see 20+ people waiting for their orders wouldnāt you want to call their names to see the line go down and for accountability with where your at in the order making process? Now the nice gentleman working with her was awesome! Worked hard and called the names and was very nice.
So Starbucks Landstown Commons location by the length of this review I and many others were able to observe a lot today due to waiting so long.. please make some improvements. As most of the time your pretty great, but today and the past few times have just been...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMaybe it was my fault, or maybe my phone didnāt understand what I meant by a āDrive-Thruā location (which normally wouldnāt have bothered me) but since Iād just endured an outpatient surgical procedure I was not looking forward to seeing people. Once inside, I placed my order, several people behind me began picking up their orders. I stood there, waiting (my pain was getting worse as I WAITED).
Finally I had to ask, āwhat was happening with my coffee?ā To which I was asked āwhat did you order, again?ā I remained calm and repeated my order. Thatās when the blame game started, and it ended with me being the problem. I apparently must have given them the wrong order. I placed my order AGAIN, could not tolerate standing in line one more second , so I walked to my car, double parked in front; to save time. When I returned, I was handed something I didnāt order, but I was too tired to ask them to correct it.
The bottom line, Starbucks Franchises are over priced, the employees, are over worked, and it seems to me no one really wants to work at them. Yes, they have wonderful coffee drinks, itās fun to hang out at the quiet locations and use the free WiFi. But $4.00 for a fancy coffee is beginning to get on my nerves. No one wants to state the obvious... and that is theyāre a āRIP OFF!ā But because theyāve cornering the market and built so many locations, Americans have become accustomed to their convenience, not because they have a product you can only get through them, but because they are on every corner and lead you to believe what they sell, is special and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Starbucks is located in the Landstown Commons Shopping Center. It's located at the one way road around a set of stores and restaurants in the two buildings. It is on the corner. One thing to note is that parking can be extremely limited in that area during peak times. It may be best to park in the parking area just across the road there in the shopping center. My most recent visit here was on March 3, 2020.
I have been to this Starbucks several times over the past few months. I don't go to any Starbucks regularly, but I have taken advantage of when they have buy one, get one free promotions since I do have a Starbucks card (not their credit card). Every time I have been in here, the place hasn't been overly busy or felt herded so to speak (the one at Red Mill is smaller in size, so it can feel like you're being packed like sardines at times there). They have some seating available in here as well. I have always been greeted with a smile from the staff when visiting. After a few times, they started to remember who I was. Ordering has always been very easy. The time it takes for the drinks to be ready isn't long either. The usual drink I go for here is the Vanilla Frappuccino.
Overall, this has become my to go place if and when I go to a Starbucks. The staff are friendly and great to have conversation with. Everything comes out quickly and as ordered. The bonus is that there is more space inside too. If you are in the Landstown area and looking for a Starbucks, this is the...
