I enjoy the contents of the store and the products but 3 times in a row I’ve had issues with this location.
The first time I lost my keys (my fault I’m not blaming them for that) and went up to the counter to ask if anyone had turned them in. The worker asked another worker who proceeded to scold her for how she handled it for 5 minutes and still had not checked if my keys were there and would not just answer me. If you’re ever lost your keys you know it’s a little stressful and there was no need to have that conversation and not just answer or look first. They did not have them and could have just said that so I could continue looking elsewhere.
Then I went to purchase cooking pans. The worker was tossing them in the bag and throwing them on the table then tried to put 2 12.5” pans in the same bag so I asked if she could wrap them. I wouldn’t have but she was being so rough and they had glass tops. She very dramatically said to the person in line behind me “it’s going to be a while” it was only 2 pans and I even offered to pay and wrap them myself at the open counter next to her. She put tape all over them and of course it left a residue and was hard to get off. I was so stunned by how she spoke about it I didn’t even know what to say and just wanted to leave.
Less than a week later turns out the pans were too big for the space I needed them even though I did measure and they were labeled as 12.5” and I think we’re just a hair larger so I had to return them. Well I have a business and had a $100 bill from a recent sale which apparently I had to justify since the cashier when I was returning told me “ no one uses cash anymore” I rarely do but I had it so I used that to pay for the pans. When I went to return I was told I could only get store credit even though it had been less than a week and I had the receipt. I was again stunned I didn’t know what to say. It’s highly unusual to not be able to do a return and receive your original form of payment. She then proceeded to give me 3 differing answers as to why then back tracked and said it’s a fairly new policy. Regardless I would think if it’s new or much like a non returnable clearance item they should tell you when checking out. Ie. When a clearance item can only be returned for store credit they tell you that at check out. Seems like the same for a new policy should be the case but I guess the first girl who sold me the pans barely knew how to use a tape dispenser or wrapping paper so that was a big ask.
She also said this new cash sales policy would be in place as their sister stores- tj maxx, home goods, Marshall’s, etc. and I checked online and asked because I was headed to one and they had never heard of that and there was no mention online. The home sense return policy for the US of course is not accessible online. But all of their other stores state original form of payment as long as you have the receipt within 30 days. Which I did.
I enjoy the store but it’s just not worth the poor service. I’ll just go to home goods or a...
Read moreI felt compelled to reach out to comment on the most pleasant interaction I had with one of your employees. Unfortunately I did not get her name. She did mention she would be visiting her family in Cuba soon. The effort she showed for helping us find things with the most caring attitude stood out. She is an absolute gem and an asset to this store. I am looking forward to going back to the store...
Read moreFirst time going into this store and it was super nice, clean and organized. Plenty of quality things to choose from for your home. I believe this is a sister store to TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods. I got an extremely good deal on two rustic chandeliers each originally $299.99 (store price) and only paid $45 (clearance) for each. Definitely recommend coming here. I will for sure be a...
