Never ever have I been so insulted by an employee in my life. I will make this short and sweet. My husband and I come here all the time - at least once or twice a week. It's close to our work and we've enjoyed it. Today, like any other day, we walked in and the tv (mounted in the corner) was off. The silence was nice, but short lived. Upon walking to the counter, they turned the tv on. No big deal - usually it's soccer or something similar. Today, however, 12 Years a Slave was playing. Great movie. We've seen it and it deserved every award it won. HOWEVER, it is not something I want to watch/hear while I am eating at a restaurant. We kindly asked them to turn it down and with attitude, they slightly turned it down. Then we sat there and waited for our food. Once our food was ready, the main scene towards the end of the movie came on. I couldn't even eat. I was SO disturbed that I was sitting in a restaurant listening to someone being whipped and screaming out in pain! My husband got up and said "can you please change this?" The same man started rambling about how they need the noise and bla bla bla. My husband said "we dont mind the noise; however, can you please change the channel??" Same thing - bla bla bla! I couldn't believe it and honestly, I dont think he understood exactly what we were trying to say. My husband was appalled and said we would NEVER come back. Once he sat down, I heard him mutter "this isn't a FAST FOOD restaurant." Excuse me?! RUDE RUDE RUDE. Don't let the smiles fool you. There are a ton of good places to eat in Woodbridge.

After reading the other reviews... I have no doubt it was the OWNER that was screaming at us. Please dont support his business. What an...

Came in for dinner today with family, noticed all employees hispanic both in front and in back, spanish music also playing loudly, TV had spanish content on too, thought for a second i was at a mexican restaurant. My family only eats Halal food so when i asked if this place serves Halal food (because from the looks of it I couldn't tell) one of the employees rudely says "you see the sign in front right?", i didn't notice it at first but then saw a little neon sign with Halal signage. After i placed my order i was told sternly i could not dine in, when asked why they said they were closing, it was 5:25pm and they closed at 6pm. I said ok and proceeded to wait for my food, 10 minutes later the family who ordered before me (who were also hispanic) got their order and they sat down at a table and began to eat their food. After i got my order i was looking at the family eating and was confused why they were allowed to eat, as i was passing then i said "enjoy your meal" and then the hispanic cashier said something loudly to the family eating and they both began to laugh out loud. I looked at the cashier and she was grinning at me, as i was walking out she followed me and promptly locked the door behind me. Now i dont want to play victim here but clearly there was favoritism given, i would have also liked to enjoyed my food hot and eat it there instead of driving home 45min later and eating it cold, but sadly i wasn't given...

We used to go to this place a lot. They used to do really amazing things with chicken kabob, chick peas, and rice. But sadly, the place has fallen to employee carelessness and owner indifference.

What needs to be said about not letting customers dine in within 30 min of closing has already been covered by the other reviews. Suffice to say no one is exaggerating and they really do that. What really shows their approach to business are the little details:

You want water? Warm tap water in a styrofoam cup.

Multiple tables dirty; employees in the back cracking jokes

Omnipresent TV cranked up to silly volume

New TV; paint peeling off the walls, bathroom doors barely close, junk accumulating in the hallway

This evening was the last time I'll go there in my 7 years of patronage. I ordered a side dish they forgot to deliver. I let them know. They thought I was trying to rip them off.

Pretty much folks, don't go here. I know the owner reads these reviews and he still chooses not to do anything about it. If he doesn't care and the employees don't care, they don't deserve...

My first time eating here, I was really skeptical because of a low rating. I am so happy I came in to give it a try!! Gyro is huge and super delicious! Chicken and lamb kabob were tender, juicy and amazingly good. My boyfriend is a Mediterranean food lover, he said it was best kabob and gyro he ever had! I’ve read previous reviews and some said the owner was good, well, this place has a new owner now and he puts his heart and soul into this food. He cooked everything in front of me himself and was very nice to talk to. The hours of operation were wrong and corrected now, they open at 11 every day and 12 on Sunday. I also posted their new menu, the old menu has different prices. It’s not the first amazing place with bad rating, if you’ve been here and liked the food, rate it! Let’s help our community! And I understand that rudeness sometimes can spoil your mood but please take the food taste into account as well when rating. And, hopefully, no more bad customer service since the owner changed!

On our way back from DC, we stumbled upon this Afghan restaurant. We walked in around lunchtime and the place was empty at first then slowly started to fill up. We were very glad we decided to go in for lunch. Afghan Grill Kabob is very casual, laid-back atmosphere was just what we needed. We enjoyed the food. I had the Lamb Kabob with a side of chickpeas and Naan with mango nectar. The food is prepared right in the front. So, it does take a little while before getting your meal. But I do appreciate the freshness of my meal. You get a significantly large portion for the price that you pay. As mentioned, you're getting a very fresh, deliciously spiced, and overall very good meal. Afghan Grill Kabob has my recommendations and we will be back.

Owner was extremely rude! Politely asked to swap brown rice (they give you both white rice and brown rice) with a side of chickpeas and I was given no for an answer with an attitude. They are essentially doubling the rice in exchange for a side, which they expect you to pay an additional $3 for, look at how little chickpeas they gave me!!! In addition to all of this, they supply you with very little meat as I was given only a single seekh kabob which left me hungry still after finishing. Very rude and intimidating environment, not a nice place to eat and enjoy with friends and family.
