I typically don't have to pick up my own food during my lunch break but after having to on Wednesday 6/26/2024 I have made a promise never to order from here again if I can help it. The point of online orders is to be in and put. The cashier that was assigned for the time that I had arrived, AMAZING. She was holding the fort down all on her own which was VERY frustrating. Many customers stood at the checkout trying to pay waiting longer than they should have. One male customer having to make himself be in her view for him to figure out if she ever noticed him stanind at the register for service as she was helping dashers collect the food for online orders. Yes, the cashier was securing the online order for uber/doordash as well as checking out customers by herself.
She was doing the best that she could without any assistance. She was apparently the only cashier scheduled. I stood there for 15 minutes trying to figure out how the whole online ordering ordeal worked. The food preppers basically looked me up and down and didn't communicate anything with me. I managed to help myself to grabbing my own food and an ice cream I paid for online and hoped no one would think I was stealing.
The expectations are not VERY clear as how to ensure to pick up your own order. It was actually FASTER to come in and place your order through their machine then to place your online order. Plenty of people that came in after me and placing their order in store collected their food before me, order of 5+ people groups. While all I had was a milkshake and a 6" sub.
The point of online order is to show up, grab your paid order and be on your merry way without having to wait for assistance that never came.
To make it VERY clear. The cashier is NOT at fault, she was doing the best she could with what she had. Maybe the manager should focus on ensuring there is plenty of staff before going on vacation. Cashier mentioned to a customer that the manager was on vacation. So why would he care about scheduling...
Read more(This Message was sent to the WAWA Facebook page with no response. If they had responded professionally I think I would give 4 stars). "Oct 26th I went to the wawa #661 in Woodbridge VA I ordered two bowls and had multiple ingredients missing I didn't notice until I was already at work and unable to return. I have gone to this wawa and order bowls on 3 different occasions and this is the second time it has been wrong. The other time it was wrong I ordered 3 bowls and they tried to give me 2. When I brought it to their attention they insisted I only ordered 2 until I pulled out my receipt and they finally made me my 3rd bowl with much frustration. To give them the benefit of the doubt both times they messed up it was very busy. I do not want any compensation for this, just hoping that the employees get some training on attention to...
Read moreI grew up in Philly, and always seek to patronize Wawa when I find them now that I live in VA. This location fell short of my expectations for the brand in a few ways: Food prep took a very long time compared to other locations, despite not seeing many people around or many mobile orders taken to the pick up location. Cashiers were very disgruntled and seemed like they had to be multitasking between button presses at the cash wrap. Shop was very cluttered. Large boxes of stock around the shop floor, and impule units blocking the flow of foot traffic in the sandwich pickup area. I think these are all perfectly actionable, but fell short of what I...
