I cannot express how I expectedly awful the food was except to say that neither me nor my son could even eat it! The bread specifically on the "Good" Burger 2 meal my son ordered was so chewy you couldn't hardly tear a piece of it off with your teeth. I myself tried it and he was right. It was so over-microwaved that the bread was so chewy you couldn't eat it. The burgers on it tasted old. My 11 yr old son was in tears because he was looking forward to eating out but it was a big disappointment. He was hungry and he knew I didn't have time to go back or money to stop anywhere else. So I told him he could have of my roast beef gyros. But the bread on that was also so chewy you had to wrip pieces off with your fingers to eat it and it was so chewy from being over micro-waves 10 as well. The whole thing was just nasty. Neither of us could eat either thing. My son ate his fries and had his shake. I had my iced tea and a couple fries.
Arby's really let us down. I've been there before and the food was decent which is why I went there again. My son refuses to ever go to Arby's again. I think what happened is that things were made earlier and then microwaved to heat them up but they were set too high for the bread in order to cook the meat inside them and the bread got over nuked resulting in chewy inedible bread. I mean who hasn't over nuked bread at some point in their life and it either gets chewy or it gets hard depending on the moister content or something. We typically dont eat Arbys EVER, however this review isnt on the serviced we got from staff or the food. This review is about the manager that was on duty last night Brandy. Ive worked and managed in the food industry in the past and one thing you dont do is YELL, TALK ANY KIND OF WAY, OR TAKE YOUR FRUSTRATION OUT ON YOUR STAFF! They are your team and you their leader. These guys were going as best as they could but she wouldn't stop yelling at them, micromanaging, taking out of their hands what they was already doing. It was so bad one guy was just standing around scared to do anything because all you could hear was her yelling ohhh while wearing no gloves in the back preparing food, while she filed up a ramekin cup with cheese sauce then threw it on the counter. She also didnt have a hairnet on but atleast she has a visor on. I felt bad for the three employees who had to listen to her the whole evening you could tell by the look on their face they were uncomfortable, didnt want to be there, and couldnt wait to clock out. Read moreI eat at this location only occasionally because the quality of the food I receive is usually hurriedly made and not hot and fresh. I don't have this issue at the other locations in town only this one but it is conveniently located close to home so I keep hoping for the best when I do try again but rarely get the best. Just ate here last week and was served cold fries, a hurriedly made beef and cheddar with hardly any beef and almost non present cheddar cheese that seemed to have been made an hour before and paid almost $14 for that mess. So while still at the location I decided to lodge a complaint on their website to the customer (don't care) team and explained the situation and even checked the box to be contacted by a team member but guess what, a week later and nothing and they even have my phone number and email address. I'm sure they will respond to this review with the generic response of "sorry to hear this please contact our customer care team" which of course gets you nowhere. I can get a cheaper meal at McDonald's and it be hotter and fresher than this $14 over priced beef and cheddar combo from Arby's on Fox ridge Winchester Va so guess where I'm going next time Arby's?
