I've been to very few Arby's lately following an extremely disappointing experience at the Doswell location. (Avoid that one). Our experience at THIS location today however was just on a completely different level. This is a newer Arby's with an updated interior, good design, it was CLEAN and the food was probably among the best "fast" meals we've had in a while. Just unwrapping my burger (yeah they've got those now so I had to try it) you could tell that someone actually CARED about how the product would look. Pride of work? What a concept! Unlike other establishments where you spend the first few minutes reconstructing your dang food (talking about YOU Mickey D's!) this burger looked like something from a place like Chili's or similar. I was so shocked that I snapped photos and will attach them to illustrate. The drinks were Spot On and the ice didn't smell like feet from the fountain (SO someone is CLEANING IT!) My wife's salad was fresh and had no wilty, soggy stuff in it. The ONLY miss was that they had run out of curley fries: WHAT?! So I had crinkle fries, which were very good albeit a little old. They probably made big batches at a time since it was all they had. Even the music was modern contemporary and enjoyable. Twice the wife said "oh I love this song!" So for $28, which used to be expensive for food from a place with a drive thru, I was happy with my food and our experience. And next time I get a crave for a big beef and cheddar (what I think they should call the Marjorie Taylor Green) I'll make the trip to this Arby's for it for sure. I thanked them on the way out and got big smiles and thank yous. I'll bet they don't get that much, although they should. Some of their competitors could learn a thing or two from this place. I hope they never change a thing! Hope this...
Read moreThis will be a mixed review because there are pros and cons. My special needs son and I go to this Arby’s every week on Monday or Tuesday on the way to something he enjoys every week and usually hit the drive through. The food has always been consistently good and the staff is always very pleasant. My main issue is just simple carelessness in filling the orders. I’m not exaggerating when I say that every single week for at least the last three or four months there has been at least one mistake in filling the order. Many of these we catch before we leave the store by digging through the bag (I’ve learned we need to do that now) but many we don’t know until we’re away from there and is too late. This week I ordered diet lemonade and got water; last week we ordered mozzarella sticks and didn’t get them; week before that we didn’t get salad dressing; often we get there and find we didn’t get a fork, which makes eating a salad or Mac and cheese difficult; no straws; coke instead of tea, etc. It goes on and on. I’m really not being mean because they are truly friendly and the food is good, but maybe they need to slow down and just double check. Now, on the other end of the spectrum is Michelle, one of the employees that treats us so nicely. She has taken such a sweet interest in my son and always takes the time to give him a big smile and have a chat with him. He looks forward to seeing her. She wasn’t there tonight and he was bummed. Often, she’ll do something special for him, too, and we adore her! So, Arby’s, please don’t take this as a bad review, but more just a suggestion to put a bit more effort into making sure things are right before meals get sent...
Read moreStarted off bad when I had to repeat everything I ordered to the cashier twice and then she told me I looked pale and like I was going to pass out and tried to insist that I go get a drink right in the middle of my order. I appreciate the concern but not the tact. I ordered the nugget kids meal with curly fries for my little and ordered a Turkey and Swiss market sandwich with curly fries for myself. They gave me crinkle fries which were cold with the kids meal and the wrong turkey sandwich with lukewarm curly fries. I understand that mistakes happen but the lady in the gray shirt that handed me my order initially tried blaming the cashier for putting in the wrong order until I showed her the receipt where everything was exactly how I ordered it. She fixed everything but didn't seem to care that she gave me an order that was 50% wrong. For what I paid the whole experience was greatly lacking. We generally go here every Friday after I take my little to Amfam and Defy but I doubt that we will go again.
UPDATE: Sorry that it has taken me so long to post an update. The manager at Arby's reached out to me to apologize and sort everything out. Unfortunately, since my conversation with him, I've not been able to make it back to eat there. Hopefully soon. I'll update again after...
