I have always gotten this place mixed up with long John silver and I am so sorry I did. The food is inexpensive and good. Not great but good. I would love to help them with some of issues I have with this place to make it better.
The food is warm. The rice is always cold. Just because you place hot food over rice it doesnât automatically heat it up! đ§
This is the spot that most of the members of my religious organization frequents after the meeting be cause of the low cost in lunch. $5.
My major complaint is the BATHROOM. The first place I want to go is to wash my hands. If there is water and soap I much rather wash them then sanitize them. The bathroom ALWAYS smells awful, and itâs not the someone just left awful itâs the we donât use enough cleaning and deodorizing products. If I wasnât such a Germaphobe I probably would just use hand sanitizer. The sink is dirty and old the floor looks like it hasnât been scrubbed in years, mopped but never scrubbed. You barely want to touch the sink and soap and turn around and touch the old fashion towel dispenser. Donât they know they can get most of the stuff for free at Rutherfordâs if you buy their product?
In conclusion the food is just ok. Needs to be hot and not burn or dry. Maybe Iâm asking too much?
12â24-2017 Updated. This Resturant has hit an all time low with me earlier this week.
I was invited out after a religious meeting to guess where? I was introduced to an African American Female manager. Everything was fine until I received my food.
The food runner brought me my order. It looked beautiful until I cut into the Tilapia. The tilapia was raw right down the center. See picture.
I wasnât upset I sent the food back. 15 minutes had passed by and I called the manager over to my table. I explained to her that the food was raw and undercooked then showed her the picture on my cell phone.
I asked the manager if they will be make no me a completely new plate... she stated undoubtedly YES.
NOW, Usually Resturants will disgaurd the raw Food which has contaminated the cooked food with campylobacter and salmonella bacteria but nooo not here.
What I received was the same (now cold plate) topped with my now slightly chard old tilapia still cut in half with now several other cuts.
I called the manager over and asked her why did I get the same plate back she stated well itâs cooked now. I was furious and she was reluctant. I told her I want a new plate of food. She then begrudgingly scrapped my food in the trash and I waited 40 mins for another order on an averagely busy shift.
I am horrified!!
My three stars are now a two because of the lack of managerial and staff training.

   Read moreInteresting experience. While coming from the airport and not eating in 8 hours, I made the mistake of eating fastfood. I thought Captain D's would be the lessor of evils and likely could have just waited til I got home. Clean on the inside when I used the restroom, and the line not being too long I was pleasantly surprised when the associate who helped me had a great attitude. She repeated my order to me three times and made sure she didn't forget anything. Then two cars in front of me cursed out whoever was at the window and threw a drink and food back through the window. I was then put on hold for no more than 4 minutes while they did something, not really sure and hate to speculate.
After coming back she apologized profusely and repeated my order again, gave me the final total and I moved up.
Now I ordered FRESH fried shrimp for my grandmother, it was not fresh and obviously had been sitting in the heated area for hours. The broccoli was out in a plastic bag and was slightly brown and cold. Her baked potato was hard as a rock and also obviously made some time ago. My grandmother was very, very unsatisfied.
I ordered a 3 spicy fish with double fries and though I was told hush puppies came with the order, I had none. Just three pieces and fries - cold fries.
My mother's order was satisfactory.

I get to the window and there was a short, short hair cut girl and she opened the window and said "What do you want to order?" I was so stunned from not getting a professional greeting I lost track of what I was ordering. Then I ordered and she said "that's all you want? First of all what happened to"Hello, thank you for choosing Captain D's, How may I help you" and "Will that be all ma'am? She was young and I said to her I feel like I'm being rushed. She parted her lips and said I'm trying to clean up for closing. I looked at the time and it was 9:30p, they closed at 10p and I forgot the part where her closing vs giving good customer service was my problem. Nonetheless, these companies hire these folks that don't even have common sense when it comes to customers. Never again.
