Skrimp Shack — Restaurant in Virginia

This was the first and last time I will go to this establishment. I placed my order online and was given a estimated pick up. I stood outside the store as there were a lot of people still waiting for their orders as well. I entered the store 15 minutes after the time I was told it would be ready to be then told by a lady with a mask barely covering her face that it was being prepared. The lady had two nose piercings. I saw every single person receive their orders even ones that came in after and did a face to face order. I approached the cashier and asked about my order, one of the male workers grabbed a bag that had been sitting tore off the ticket and gave it to me. I asked what was the time of my order. He said 8:04... Now, my time given to ready was 8:30. I then asked him what the current time he said 9:05!!!!!! I opened my bag and my order was completely incorrect. I asked about the items I ordered the lady with the two nose piercings said... OH WE AINT GOT NO MO OF THAT... and walked away.. Food was trash.. staff was trash.. I should of just taken head to a few people demanding money back for small portions.. Manager hopefully you actually read this and get your evening...

On my last visit the cashier yelled "We close at 9" as we walked in the door. It was 8:10. At the register, she repeated that they were closing at 9 and told me that the wait would be 40 minutes and if my order wasn't ready by 9, they would give me my money back. She was trying to discourage me from ordering. Normally, I would leave immediately and never return. However, I had some time to play with and wanted to see how this ended, so we ordered. She was not happy. LOL I watched this happen to at least 4 or 5 other customers. My order was ready in 20 minutes. When I walked out I vowed never to return. If you close at 9, then you seat and take orders until 9. At least that is the way it works at other establishments. Because of their location and the ethnicity of the majority of their clientele they feel that they can get away with this behavior. It is unacceptable. It is a 20 minute drive for me to get there. I like the food. However, the utter rudeness and lack of professionalism will prevent me from taking that ride again and I will discourage others from doing the same. NOTE TO OWNERS: DO BETTER. BE MORE SELECTIVE WHEN HIRING PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT...

After concluding our vacation, we decided on pancakes, but the wait was super long. We walked across the parking lot to Dollar General to pick up some road snacks and came across the Skrimp Shack! A woman was leaving out and I asked her how was the food, despite the name, lol. She said it was awesome! As we continued shopping, we decided to stop in and check it out, but once I saw the menu, I found myself ordering. The kids plates were cooked perfectly and the food, aw, it was dangerously delicious! They practiced safety protocols, although the cashier was not very warm at the counter. Once we sat and started eating, he stepped away from the counter to check on us. The staff was all young black males. They were ALL busy working, no playing around. The place was clean. Another worker, checked on us also, suggesting to use the free refills on drinks. We must have looked thirsty, lol, but we were all eating in silence, it was soooo good! So, if you are looking for warm greetings, go somewhere else, but if you are looking for great, filling, perfectly prepared seafood (and chicken tenders), then THIS IS THE...
