Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Virginia

DO NOT GO HERE! This is weird for me to say because my husband and I go at least 2 times a month and HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UNTIL TODAY!!! Tonight, my husband and I had our friend and her 2 year old son over and decided to go to Chili’s for dinner. We get there, and the host greeted us nicely and took us to our seats. She left a great first impression. So now we are sitting and see the waitress go and check on her tables as we were discussing who our server might be because it took a long time to be greeted. It took her 5 to 6 minutes to greet us. She first asked for the 2 year old’s drink and food order which I thought that was nice and very respectful. She then proceeded to ask his mom her food and drink order and then took their menus. As soon as she was done with them, her smile left her face as she looks at me and said “And for you” with a rush and annoyance in her voice and did the same to my husband. I brushed this off because I thought she was maybe just coming across rude but was not trying to be, but I am pretty sure I am wrong. We have a total of 4 people at our table and we received 3 straws….. I thought maybe it was a mistake but when she came back by to check the tables by us she was walking away when I caught her attention and asked “Could we get another straw please?” I was not rude, I had not attitude because I was simply asking for a straw. She immediately placed her had an on her hip and with the biggest attitude she huffed and said “Another straw???” …..uhhhhh yess??? I was confused by the attitude and the question… but it gets better as she brings the straw I requested she SPIT ON MY ARM! I asked her “Did you just spit on me?” Even though I knew and she quickly walked away. I got up and went to the front and told the host and requested a new server who was super nice. The manager came by asking what was going on so I told her and SHE BRUSHED IT OFF LIKE IT WAS NOTHING. HER SERVER SPIT ON ME… and she IGNORED IT! Unfortunately, I was not given her name but she had long braids in her hair, I think with a burgundy color. So I’m ticked off but the new server was nice so we decided to stay. I thought everything was better but the old and rude server I had decided to go to a table near me, and they talked about how I was rude and other stuff (WHERE I COULD HEAR THEM) and then asked the guy to go up to the front and say I was lying…..which he did SERIOUSLY?? This place gone down hill and don’t waste your money go to...

I am very forgiving with restaurants but this was beyond abysmal service. we waited 15 minutes to be seated not because it was busy, but because no greeter was at the front. We sat at the bar area and asked for happy hour menus. "Oh I don't know where they are". We ask the bar waitress after that, she says she will grab one and gets our deink order. The bar has 3 people in it, including us. Took 15 more minutes to get a coke and glass of wine. Wine glass had lipstick all over it from another customer. No menus still. This is 30 to 40 after arrival.

Finally a menu comes and we get the wine replaced, her response to us pointing it out made it clear this had happened before. Line of "to go" orders is blowing up right by the window while we wait in the actual restaurant to eat.

We order food. Our appetizer will be up in a couple of minutes, we are told numerous times over a course of about 40 more minutes. App comes, we wait and wait for the food. Finally about 1.5 hours in our food arrives. I asked for small stuff like a side of ranch. Nothing. I ask another waitress I see "def I'll get it". Nothing. Bartender. Nothing. Finally I get my ranch after the meal is over. Keep in mind this restaurant is right next to empty this whole time but there's a ton of staff working.

We wait for the check. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Finally I go get a random employee who gives me a tablet or something so I can pay and leave. We mention the long wait and the wine and, for lack of a better term, she hit us with "oh honey" or the equivalent and patronized us. Pandemic excuse time is over, there's no excuse for this service. I've worked in food industry before and I forgive a lot of stuff. It's chili's. I don't expect a high end restaurant experience. I do not expect to drink someone else's lipstick and be ignored for 2 hours in a restaurant that isn't even busy. Go somewhere else and have a good meal, there's plenty of...

By far worst experience ever at a restaurant. One star is only because I have to put one. I should have taken the sign that the table next to us as soon as we sat down told the server their food had already taken 30 min. The only reason we came was because of mozzarella sticks, out of that. Ordered kids food with our drinks(as normal), once drinks were brought ordered the egg rolls for appetizer, next trip back ordered a brisket quesadilla as another appetizer. The egg rolls got brought to the table were not hot and just looked unappetizing as if they were just sitting, still no kids food. Few minutes later the brisket quesadilla comes looking like tortilla chips(it was that hard) with cheese in between it had almost no meat at all inside of it. Ask about my kids food now that everything we’ve ordered after has been brought, to which I was told we were just waiting on fries so I asked for just the entrees until fries were ready. The manager came to the table at some point before food was brought out and had an attitude was no help at all. I was brought my daughters CHEESEburger sliders with no cheese on them, so we were brought a slice of cheese on a plate….my sons food still not there at this point my two kids were sharing my daughters fries that were brought. Its as if my sons quesadilla was never even rang up. A few minutes later my sons chicken and cheese quesadilla came out with more meat in it than our full sized quesadilla. At this point we decided not to even order entrees because everything was awful. To top off everything that already was a disaster, my daughter bit into an unknown piece of paper that was in her ranch cup. Personally I don’t feel like anything should have been paid for but the brisket quesadilla was taken off. Needless to say we will never go back. Horrible is an understatement for this experience. 10/10 do...
