The self-service kiosk seems convenient, but cannot scan the app QR code. At other locations, I always order with a human and they scan QR code, so I pay with the app collecting my points.
Here, not seeing any cashier, I asked an employee “how do I order” and I was told to use the kiosk. Ok…so, I finished inputting what I wanted to order, then I scanned the QR code, the machine beeb recognized the scan, but it went back to the previous screen. I tried a few times. Then, I asked an employee, I scanned my QR code, but….he said “oh…you have to order with the app” In, as much as, I love Chopt, I just walked away and went to the next door, instead.
Noted that the employee was nice and polite, but he’s busy with prepping the salad, so he didn’t have time to say more than he did in the beginning.
If you want customers to use the machine in place of having employees to take orders, please make a clear sign that the machine cannot scan...
Read moreChopt used to have a more personalized feel; you interacted more with the folks making your salad or bowl, telling them how much to chop your salad, if you wanted a little or a lot of dressing, salt and pepper, bread, etc. This place was clinically clean and devoid of any human interaction whatsoever. You could not see your salad being made anymore: everything was done on a screen or your phone. Technology has completely taken over, and if that’s your thing you’ll like it here. It seems to work well for takeout, but is an utterly sterile environment in which to order and eat lunch. I understand that times change and the way we used to do things has changed as well. But there was nothing about this experience that made me want to return to Chopt in its new format, I’m sorry to say. Read moreI placed an order and the pickup time set it for the next day. I called that morning to cancel it and the person was in such a rush they didn't ask for my name. I had to mention my name and order number. I still did not get a refund. I called today and Tippy was not much help or understanding of my frustration. He couldn't do anything and said the GM would not be back until maybe Monday. I'll follow up then but I'm not a fan of being robbed and told that I don't get my food nor a refund. I'll be certain to let all members of the military to steer clear of this place. I attempted to call the corporate office but like their restaurant, you aren't meant to get help by humans.
