Cupertino's N.Y. Bagels and Deli — Restaurant in Virginia

Worst Customer service. Starting from the order, the girl taking order seem to be not interested at all in her work. We gave the simplest order still she was not understanding properly. She wrote wrong name for our order so obviously we didn't cared when the wrong name was called. We are sitting right in front of them still they didn't bothered to let us know that it is ours. After 10 minutes the guy brought to-go order to our table saying this was ours (which was sitting there for 10 minutes). We never said it was to-go order still they gave us like that. Obviously bagels were so chewy coz they were sitting packed for 10 minutes. After all this, the 2 girls working there were constantly talking about us and looking at us. Very unprofessional behavior.

I gave name Patel for my order and I never said my order was to-go. I am sure you wouldn't pick up someone else's order if your name wasn't called. My step-son discovered this place 3 years ago, through googling for a Breakfast choice. This is, without a doubt, my favorite place to eat Breakfast in richmond, VA. Having said that, I wake up late. So, sometimes I don't get a Breakfast bagel but I'll get more of a bagel sandwich. Their ingredients are the freshest in town. The bagels are made fresh every morning, In fact, if you go somewhere else in town and order a bagel, the chances are very high that you're eating a Cupertino's bagel (if they claim it's fresh). The meats and cheeses are from delis in New York City and are of the best quality. There are pastry items in the display case, my favorite being the Black and White cookies. Lox bagel was not the best I've had In Virginia. I am a NYC native (lived in Virginia for less than a year and came back from NYC 2 days ago). The bagel was ok I found that my everything bagle was plain tasting. Not very chewey and dense. Size was average. My cream cheese was not spread, yet placed in the center; the edges of my bagle was dry. They did give a good amount of cream cheese however it was in one spot. The flavor of the cream cheese was ok, i feel that Philadelphia cream cheese has alot more flavor.They do have a separate charge for what a NYC lox bagel already comes with Capers and red onions. It is a $.50 charge up not a big deal on the slightest just found it odd that it wasn't part of the NYC lox bagel recipe. The lox bagel overall was ok, definitely not NYC style Lox. If you are going there just for a NYC Lox Bagel like I did (I drove 35 minutes), try somewhere else. It wasn't worth the time or 20 dollars I paid for...
