I frequently visit Charlottesville but this trip was the first time we came to the Daily Grind. In just 2 stops, this has become I must stop on all future C-Ville trips. The first day we came, we heard the owner talking and interacting with a regular and they were chatting like old friends. I ordered it with crushed strawberries in the bottom, went outside to drink it on their lovely front porch area and wow was I blown away, delicious! Honestly it was so good I had to pace myself from slurping it all down in 3 gulps. I explained to the owner that my family has a legal medical exemption to the mask mandate. He refused to serve us; he wouldn't offer to bring food out or anything.
