Me and my wife are foodies and enjoy trying new places. We were super excited to try this place for the Saturday breakfast today. BUT We couldn’t have been more disappointed with the food quality. One of the warmest welcome we received - great host and great server, but the food is horrendous. We ordered Veg Omelet, Halwa Poori, and Aloo Pratha with Yoghurt. Short of words to explain how bad everything was. From the first bite, both me and wife realized this is going to be bad. Let me explain!!!
We paid $35 for the food, and I feel like it was a complete waste. Destroyed our Saturday. Never ever ever ever going back to this place. Stay away!!!!!
I didn’t proof read my note above, as I can’t waste more time on this restaurant. This business will close unless they change their entire cooking staff!!!
Edit: I demand full refund and more perhaps. My wife and I are both sick now. You guys fed us garbage. It has been 12 hrs and we feel like we went through hell in this time. Had 2 harmless coconut water each and still we are struggling with upset stomach. We feel like...

I visited Desi Breakfast with my family of five and waited around 20 minutes for a table—totally normal and expected for a popular spot. However, once we were called in, the front staff informed us we had 25 minutes total to order and finish our meal. This was the first time I’ve ever heard of such a strict time limit imposed right at the entrance, without any prior notice telling on guest face for full dine in restaurant .
I asked the owner (Son) directly if this policy applied to every customer, and he confirmed, “Yes, we tell every guest.” I’d love to hear if others were told the same and what your reactions were.
We ordered quickly and received our food in just 14 minutes—which is impressive for a 6 meal platter order. But that left us with only 11 minutes to eat, drink lassi and hot tea, and enjoy the meal as a family. It felt rushed.
Despite this, I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything—from the Keema and Aloo Paratha to Anda Paratha, Halwa Puris, and fried eggs—was fresh and flavorful. The tea was FANTASTIC.
I also appreciated the owner’s father, who kindly stopped by to chat and ease the situation. Very warm and generous.
Before leaving, I mentioned again to the owner (Son)that while the food exceeded expectations, they should reconsider how they communicate the time limit. A visible sign inside is fine, but telling guests verbally as they walk in feels abrupt and can dampen the experience. Honestly, I think a better approach would be to post the time limit clearly on a sign inside the restaurant. I’m giving 3 stars this time because the food really was top-notch. But next time, I plan to take my time—and if the food is still consistently hot and tasty with no time restriction, I’ll definitely bump my rating...
Read moreWe heard from our friends that this place is good, so my wife and I decided to check it out. We drove for about 30 minutes and were not disappointed. I called ahead, but the person on the other end of the phone said it wasn't necessary if there were only two of us.
On a nice sunny but chilly winter day, we went there for Saturday brunch. The first impression was excellent. The host was friendly, and he anticipated what the guests would want and went out of his way to accommodate them. He used to be a chef, it turns out.
We were both craving nihari, an Indian subcontinental beef stew. Nihari (Bengali:, Hindi:, Urdu: ) is a stew from the Indian subcontinent, according to Wikipedia. Nihari is made up of slow-cooked meat, primarily shank meat from beef or lamb, mutton, goat meat, and chicken, as well as bone marrow. Long pepper (pippali), a relative of black pepper, is used to flavor it.
To go with the nihari, we ordered the puri from the menu. The combination was delicious, and even though my wife said she was only going to eat one puri, she ended up eating both. The chai went perfectly with the meal. The setting is modern with a strong Indian subcontinental vibe. Our server neglected to mention that the chai was an all-you-can-drink deal. So it was a fantastic deal for those of us who enjoy chai. This restaurant is a subset of the charcoal chicken restaurant in Chantilly, or vice versa. However, as part of their other restaurant, the food quality was excellent.
As a personal preference, I prefer to see the targeted ethnicity in an authentic restaurant, which this restaurant did admirably. So, if you're looking for authentic Indian or Pakistani cuisine, this is the place to go. You won't be...
