Dunkin' — Restaurant in Virginia

This location has gone downhill since it opened.

A few months back they stopped carrying the chocolate chip muffins. It seems there was a disconnect between the management and owner, because none of the staff knew why they suddenly stopped ordering them. They eventually came back.

The store has since stopped carrying the frosted cake doughnuts, but the old staff would still frost some for us regardless. They're just the old fashion with the chocolate frosting on top, so it's not like they don't have the stuff to do it. The current guys, with rare exception, will not. So much for "time to make the donuts."

Their hot breakfast sandwiches are usually microwaved or cold. This is not a result of the new staff; it's always been that way. So if you were looking for something hot and fresh, this is generally the wrong place.

Maybe I'm just bitter because they keep dropping the my favorites, but the place just is not what it used to be when it first opened. It's turned from a place with friendly staff who recognize you to just another faceless fast food chain.

Despite my negative tone here, I still end up going here multiple times a week. So, take that for...

So maybe I’m missing the concept of a breakfast bagel...... been going to DD in Charlottesville for the past few months, and for the most part the exchange has been good. It’s a half hour round trip out of the way, but DD is what we do where I’m from- This is March 26th, and the last week bagels haven’t been “available” at my usual time which is around 5:45. I finally got a true answer this morning, after the previous lies or half truths..... they have changed to a new bakery, and bagels don’t even arrive until 7:00 or 8:00- HUH? So a bagel or breakfast sandwich may be available by like 9:00? Ummmm- I mean I actually get up and go to work. I don’t lounge in my jammies, wear my fuzzy slippers, and my favorite hate t-shirt until 9:00 in the morning..... Gonna change donut makers and make them available by like 10:00? How about coffee by noon for lunch? I have actually NEVER even heard of a DD that can’t supply a bagel until 8:00 in the morning....take it for what it is- I guess it’s a “new generation”...

In the area visiting for a new job I decided to stop at dunkin' donuts. Not too impressed as I just went to one in Arizona yesterday and I was much more impressed. The person on the other end of the microphone was not polite she didn't tell me how much it cost and I had to wait a long time in line. They could do better with customer service as far as what I can see. I wrote the first part of the review while waiting in line. After receiving my food I received it cold and it was the wrong one I had ordered the bacon and cheddar egg bites and they ended up giving me the egg white and veggie. I don't know what to do not go back there? I just went back through some of the other reviews here and my experience is par for the course. I assume ownership and management don't want to do anything about this because it looks to me as if it hasn't changed. I know for certain that I won't visit this...
