Easy Street Grub-n-Pub — Restaurant in Virginia

Not so fast. It was a mess today at lunch. Took awhile to get service. Heard one waitress or manager constantly hounding my waitress. I will admit that my waitress(lisa) did not get me my drink very fast but she did a great job taking my order and the food came quick. The food.. had a chicken salad sandwich and fries. Added provolone cheese and bacon. Heard the waitress/Manager yell to Lisa twice,’ we don’t carry provolone... we’ve never served provolone’. I then asked for Swiss. Received my food and immediately noticed Bacon was missing. Lisa immediately had it taken of my bill. When I was nearly done, the waitress/Manager told me that she was taking over my table. It’s a team effort and the whole team screwed up today. My initial waitress did not seem experienced at waiting tables, the waitress/Manager seemed to be loud and bullying and the chef never put bacon on my sandwich. Restaurant wasn’t very busy which leads me to believe it won’t be there long. If others receive the customer service I received today and notice the disconnect between employees, the restaurant...

Stopped in around 7 pm after my day shift at nearby bar to check out Easy St. it wasn’t very busy yet. I had never been, and many of the same guests and staff usually turn up back at my place after they close since we’re open until 2 am. As I have my own bartending and beverage management biz, do private “bar rescue” type consulting work, tend bar on contract and W2 basis, have managed bars, trained staff, conducted TIPS training; I think I can leave a professional unemotional honest opinion. Five stars! Clean, organized and welcoming atmosphere. The bartenders, Zach and Kayla were first rate, casual and competent, polite and professional. I had a Jack and Coke, fried pickle appetizer, burger and fries. All served up nicely by Zach, while I conversed with Kayla about their typical business vibe. Nice set up, plenty of TVs and table tops in addition to a nice bar. We kept to the dining area, but there's a separate room for darts/pool.

I ordered the Grub burger, my son had the House burger. The Grub burger was PACKED with pulled pork and bacon, topped with a very juicy, thick hamburger cooked medium to perfection! It came with a side BBQ sauce, which was perfect sweet and tang to add to the burger and pork. If you're gonna tackle this thing, bring an appetite!! Only downside is the pork being on the bottom made the bun soft and it fell apart... But it was worth the mess!

My son's House burger was, as he stated, "Top 3 he's ever had". Medium well, topped with lettuce and onion, he scarfed it down in 3 minutes. That alone tells you just how much he enjoyed it! He even snuck a couple bites of my burger right from under me!
