Great Wall Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia

Order food from this Great Wall all the time and it's always, well, great! The people have really nice too! Had one order mix up a while back where they gave us another person's stuff... called them up, wasn't rude to them, they weren't rude to me and we got it fixed it right away. They were so sorry we had to wait due to the mix up that they let us keep the wrong order, brought the right one and even gave us some free appetizers and soup for the trouble. In fact, they were so nice about it, I tipped the driver a second time. My food from here has been so good ever since that I hate when I'm somewhere that I have to order from someone else lol. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, usually seems to work for me. Anyways, my friends and family that live near this place always order from here even if we have to drive to them bc we're outside of their delivery radius at the time. All these haters, smh. People are so quick to hate...

Fyi, Crab rangoon is just a crab flavored cream cheese paste and it's probably not going to have "chunks" of crab in it at any of these take-out places (still tastes good so who cares?). I've lived all over the US, like California, Washington and Florida to name a few, and never had big pieces of crab meat in them. Even if it started out as chunks, it's most likely imitation meat and will just turn to mush when blended with the cream cheese and other ingredients anyways (I know bc I've made it at home). At an upscale, sit-down style restaurant sure, it will have chunks of real meat in there, but it's gonna cost you more than $4.75...

Went in to get “Spare Rib Tips”(no sauce), got hm everything ordered w/it was okay. Tried to take a bite out of a rib tip & couldn't. Too hard to even bite, I tried another tip, same thing. I started finger squeezing other tips & they were all hard. I clld back to the restaurant to let them kw I was not happy w/my tips. The wife had her husband call me back for more details. I advised I was returning to the restaurant to show them I had not eatn the meal nor could even bite the tips. The wife cooked more to see if that batch was better; husband stated cause I ordered w/no sauce is the reason they were hard. So not true. Tenderness of a meat has nothing to do w/sauce on it or not. I tried another, she had just made, same thing. I refused it, requested a refund on just the tips. I immediately went to another Chinese place, asked for the same thing & was tender & able to chew!😳. Ordered the general Tzos chicken spicy, and a shrimp roll. The egg roll was flavorless other than being too salty and it was just mushy inside. I did manage to get a shrimp but it was so soft it felt like it was breaking down. After one bite I was done. The general Tzo's chicken was mushy on the outside and like shoe leather on the inside. It was so tough I could barely chew it. I made it through about three bites before my jaws started hurting. It seems like maybe it had been rewarmed multiple times. They even managed to make the one sad little piece of broccoli too tough to chew There was no spice and very little flavor in the sauce. It was just non-distinct sweetness.
