Over cooked food, poor service, was ignored by waitress during entirety of dinner, she smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and she has a very annoying way of drawing out the last syllable of every word she speaks. When I was finished placing my order I thanked her; ignored. When I handed back the menu and thanked her; ignored. Brought out my beverage, thanked her again; ignored. Dinner arrived, thanked her; ignored. This continued with every interaction we had. She then took it upon herself then to add 18% gratuity to my check, for two people. Granted our table did have six people total and the menu does state they reserve the right to do so with six or more; however, I don't agree and question the legality. I didn't see this on the menu until afterwards. If I had, I would have sat at separate table. (Sounds silly, right? No more silly than having this type of policy) She knew she was a crappy waitress and would have only received a minimal tip. When I spoke with their so called manager he was very combative and argumentive. After some discussion he did remove the 18%, but that doesn't excuse how arrogant, cocky and rude he was. I've been dining here the better part of 25 years, but the new owners and this manager have put an end to it. Even though they're food wasn't perfect, it wasn't bad either. I will not call on a business that treats customers the way I was treated. I have noticed several times driving past on what used to be and should be their busy times, the parking lot has only had a hand full of cars. Read moreThe manager could care less about its customers and that's a fact!!! You see his waitress and waiters don't no what to do if something is wrong with your food. Like for me, I had ordered a steak it was so dried out that I couldn't eat it. I told the waitress about it and she went to the kitchen and about 5 to 10 minutes latter she came back to my table took only the steak back to have it made over, and she came back with it but it was also over cooked. It took so long taht the rest of my party were done with there's. Not only that but my potatoes and the mushroom sauce were so cold I just wanted to leave. I did however asked to speak to the manager, so when he came out (I didn't ask him to take it off my bill) he stated to me that it was my fault because I didn't tell the waitress to take each item back. When is the customer responsible to make a listing of which items she is to take back. Like let's say that I was to tell her take the potatoes and the mushroom sauce but leave the corn but not peas. The manager told me that he did not care who I told about it. Read moreIt's been a long time since I've been to Harbor Inn Seafood. I mean a good while. I saw nothing has changed in the way it looks. I felt our service was great. Not too crowded for a Saturday night but it was a good crowd. The salads were out in a jiffy. Our soft drinks were kept freshened and we had a great time talking about everything in life. Eventually our food came out and it looks delicious. I don't know if it's me or what but I'm not tasting the same breading or maybe different oil but it tasted good but different to me. I wasn't sure what to think but as I said it was very good. I wouldn't have any problem with it. We were able to sit and talk for a while and suddenly it was about 7pm and looking around for the people but we are almost it. I saw that the other side was filled so I think it was another group coming in to replace. While I am happy with the whole time I have to remember you were standing in line from 4pm to 7:30. You know what I mean. It was super busy and I can't help think of my mother and father. We ate here often and always were filled up with too much food.
