Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Virginia

I eat at this location several times a week. On average I have great experiences and never really had a anything to complain about. Today I had a small issue and I wrote a bad review. Honeslty I felt kind of bad as to base a bad review on 1 experience vs. 150+ good ones. One of the employees, Aaron, tracked me down and reached out to me. I acknowledged that the problem was more due to a malfunction in the soda machine. I told him I felt bad for writing the review. He did not use this opportunity to shirk responsibility. Instead he listened to my complaint and insisted that they could do better. He also took the time to ask if I could think of any other areas they could improve. All in all it was a very positive conversation. I was never going to stop frequenting this location and was going to take my review down regardless of his call. After this conversation I can only leave a 5 star review. Never in my wildest dreams would I thought to of gotten this kind of customer service from a Jimmy Johns. As far as the quality of food I will say I always get exactly what I order and am expecting. It is always, as advertised, freaking fast. Even when there is a line I always get through extremely fast. WARNING DON’T GO TO THIS LOCATION! If I could give a negative I absolutely would! I don’t normally leave reviews. If I do I always try to share the positive. I have given this location a multitude of chances to provide at the lease a standard service. However, today was completely asinine! They never seem to know what’s going on when checking out. I have yet to meet a single one at this location that’s Friendly or nice! They over charged me then wanted to argue they didn’t! I asked for a receipt and was told I would get one after my food was done, Not after I paid! Which has never happened here before today!!!! ( Hummmmm.... How many people have they scammed like this!!?) My receipt of course shows I was improperly changed. The food is great but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The past 2 times I have been there, once at 6pm and once at 8pm, they looked like they were closing in 10 minutes. Tables at the booths turned sideways so you cannot sit, wet floor signs blocking off garbage receptacles, and even a wet door sign blocking the entrance. As someone who has impaired mobility this causes a safety risk for me to have to move while entering the establishment.

The staff was more resentful than welcoming when I finally made it in with my kids and annoyed when I asked where to deposit our trash when we were done. It was in the kitchen, by the way. I could understand the poor attitude if we walked in 10 min before closing but we were there well before then.
