I came here with my partners, here was our experience.
We ordered a large peperoni, 1 Order of Mozzarella sticks, One order of garlic bread sticks and three drinks. It was raining when we went and inside the establishment was warm and inviting right out the gate. We sat near the back next to a window that over looked outside while it rained and it feels like a nice bistro.
Our food was hot and ready when we ordered. Syrup was on tap when we got our drinks, so our soda and tea where flavorful and had fizz. Place was clean. We got our Mozzarella sticks first. They where hot and crunchy, only issue, the cheese had no pull, might wanna find a way to cook the cheese to have it melt more internally, Dipping sauce was good.
Garlic sticks where more of a hint of garlic. With not so much cheese, Might want to add a pinch more for each, but the crunch of the bread was great and very hot.
Our Pizza the main reason to come to a pizzeria. It was hot and ready, we felt it needed a pinch of more cheese. (Want to include we may have a bi'st, two of us worked at papa johns for a few years. Hint we use two cups of cheese there for the pull. Gave for great pull on our pizza's.
The layout of the place is nice and inviting. Working in Restaurants for many years, i do have a few critiques. I think you guys should move the Registers away from the front door and move your pre-made slices up front and center. Have your pizza be the first thing customers see before they get to the register.
Also, Napkin Holders on those tables. It will help with those who miss them when they are getting their drinks or customers who didn't order a drink with their meals. Less people in the walk way so your waitstaff can go and be less congested and working around roaming customers who may double back to find napkins.
The place is a nice place from what we could tell and we hope to see it succeed. Nice staff, hot food, just might need a pinch more on ingredients to make some of the meals really...
Read moreThis is by far the most effort I've ever put into on a restaurant review.
My experience took place on Friday 2/4 which was the first Friday they were open to the best of my knowledge. It's was a complete mess, but I can't wait to go again. Let me explain.
I drove to the location and was able to place my order just about 5:15. I walked out with my food about 7:45. That was not good, but I totally empathize and am happy about what caused the enormous delay. The growing pains of a newly opened business working out their systems and processes were evident. The primary culprit was demand heavily out paced supply. I would be curious to hear how many pizzas were order in the first hour alone. But in my sitting and waiting, I observed several things that make me more excited to return.
The service is the number 1 reason I will be back. Having a new pizza business open in the neighborhood was long awaited so to see the local turnout was incredible. I wasn't alone in my long wait but the staff's reaction was fantastic. They did everything imaginable to keep the overall atmosphere positive and upbeat. The crowd was in it together and to see neighbors and strangers alike, all stay positive was a great relief in today's world. New friends were made and long aquatinted neighbors reconnected and the managers surveyed the room for anyone's need.
I got my pizza and brought my large cheese, large pepperoni, large green pepper and onion, bbq chicken pizza, and Hawaiian back to a house filled with neighborhood friends. They all agreed and said they would be back again. I've lived around the US and seen very different qualities and styles and this is the best pizza I've had in years.
Of course they all got all the details and were just as impressed by the outstanding reaction to extraordinary circumstances.
Happy to have Jo Jo's in the neighborhood, looking forward to remembering this after returning several times, proud to have been part of the initial...
Read moreWe went for dinner tonight at JoJo's new South location and were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped inside the restaurant. We were greeted and immediately asked if we would like to order or if we needed a few minutes to look over the menu. We explained that we wanted to eat our pizza there and were thrilled to find out that it was full table service. We decided on a medium half pepperoni, half bacon pizza. There was so much meat on our pizza. JoJo's definitely doesn't skimp on the toppings. Our pizza was a "NY hug that warmed you up on this cold winter night." It was delicious. So good!!!
As a side note, our server was friendly and attentive, the very young workers seemed to have their act together and the management had full control of this restaurant tonight. We saw NONE of the problems that plagued this restaurant on Friday night. Everything was DELIGHTFUL and we will be back soon! Welcome to...
