I just had an absolutely horrible experience at Maleks and the customer service to resolve the issue was absolute TRASH!! My food was not as I ordered and I called in to speak with the staff. To be clear, I order here multiple times per week and have been ordering here for 20 years. I ALWAYS order the same thing. Well, tonight I ordered and my order was not as I asked. I complained. My complaint was countered with the manager telling me that I ordered my food this way rather than apologizing. Then, after explaining that I order the same thing all the time and despite his insisting that I ordered this it was suggested that at 2 AM I come back to the restaurant to remedy the problem. I'm home. It's 2 AM. After that didn't resolve the problem, I was offered a credit, which although upset I was going to accept. Meanwhile, I'm discussing the situation in the background with my friend and the manager inserts himself into that conversation commenting on my statements to my friend. I found this totally unprofessional especially when they messed this all up. After inserting his opinions into my secondary conversation and engaging in a back and forth with me, he then rescinds my credit and threatens me with not being able to place anymore orders there. So, to recount the night's events, I did not eat tonight because my order was not prepared the way i ordered and it was too late to figure out something else; I was cheated out of my money for food I did not want; and the unprofessional gentleman at the restaurant banned me from placing anymore orders because that was easier than accountability. I am EXTREMELY disappointed, because I have patronized this business for 20 years. I expect this business and any other business to take accountability if the product they give me isn't what I the CUSTOMER gave them my money for not to be banned because you dropped the ball this time. I was insulted and am in total shock by the way in which this matter was handled by a company I've supported...
Read moreI moved to Springfield VA in 1990 and owned a tiny condo without a washer or dryer. Springfield Plaza had a nice Laundromat, and I chose it because I could window shop while waiting for my clothes to dry. I had just had my infant son and naturally I would have him in tow. A kind older gentleman would see me struggling to bring in my clothes to wash while keeping an eye on my son, he always helped me carry in my baskets of clothes. My son was a colicky baby, and this gentleman showed me a trick-put the basinet on top of the washing machine and my baby magically fell asleep! This began a weekly ritual, and I looked forward to seeing Mr. Malik because he had a million stories to tell. We talked about anything and everything. It wasn’t until he opened Malik’s restaurant that I began bringing my son to eat White Pizza. That and French fries were his favorite. Beyond that, we celebrated birthdays and graduations there. When family would visit, we would bring them to Maliks. My son has since married and moved to another state. Along with that, the pandemic, bank collapses and economic crises of our country we just haven’t gone out to eat like we used to. Last night I had to pick up things at Party City and decided to pick up a White Pizza for dinner. As I sat quietly waiting for my pizza, I could see all the beautiful memories that I have from eating at Malik’s. You are part of our family’s history and I am forever grateful for the kindness of that nice older gentleman who first helped my...
Read morePizza needs to be made the same consistently. Went for the first time Sunday night the pizza was like the best pizza I ever had one of them for sure ! It’s Friday I order that same pizza. I did forget to get multi grain and when I called back 2 minutes later they said it was too late to make the change. But I hadn’t paid for my pizza and you are now giving me a pizza that goes against my diet restriction I am diabetic . I picked up my pizza idk why. And it didn’t even look as good. The toppings were placed messy. Peppers cut so tiny Sunday night they were large and placed beautifully ! No today though! My stomach hurts but that could be because of the white bread. Also they used so much more Tomatoe sauce this time compared to last time, where it’s was spread lightly and it was delicious that way. They need to make sure all cooks are cooking the same way. To just say no when I hadn’t paid yet was just weird like I didn’t have to pick it up and why not accommodate your returning customers. The pizza tasted like it didn’t cook long enough the dough is really doughy especially in the middle. They also never offer me napkins or cheese. I didn’t like my pizza this time idk why I picked it up and the wings need to be cooked longer as well, to a crisp I hate mushy wings. Disappointed I may try again but no time soon. Wish I took a pic of the first pizza to compare literally looked heavenly ! This one was just...
