During my visit to Moby Dick House of Kabob, my experience left much to be desired: Ordered Chicken and Beef Combo with Rice and Salad.
Food quality:
The beef was bland, lacking spice or depth of flavor, and overall subpar. A single piece of chicken, I received was under-cooked, which is concerning from a food safety perspective. The rice was plain and flavorless, without even a touch of salt. Overall, this did not reflect the authentic or delicious meal I had expected, especially given the high price point.
Service:
The female cashier was polite at first, but her demeanor turned somewhat rude by the end of the transaction. Even after I tipped her 20% (for food I had to eat outside due to noise), there was no acknowledgment or gratitude—just attitude. The gentleman behind the register came across as nonchalant and unenthusiastic, adding to the overall lack of warmth.
Atmosphere:
Inside the restaurant, loud banging and hammering from what seemed to be repairs created a harsh, uncomfortable environment. The lack of a welcoming atmosphere made the experience feel transactional and cold.
Because of the noise, I chose to eat outside. Unfortunately, the food itself did not make up for the shortcomings in service or environment. This location is fine if you need a quick bite in a pinch, but do not expect authenticity, warmth, or good value for your money.
In hindsight, I would have been more satisfied grabbing a pizza at Whole Foods—cheaper, tastier, and appropriately priced.
Conclusion: Don’t come here if you’re looking for a pleasant dining experience. Come only if there’s nothing else to eat.
Note to the customer: This feedback is intended purely for you. Don’t waste your time and money here. The people in this restaurant can do better. I used to go the one at Georgetown, and it was actually nice. I'm hoping the one in...
Read moreZero stars should be an option by now. The reason for my HORRIBLE experience- SAM. I walked in (as I ALWAYS do everywhere I go) very friendly and politely saying HELLO, loudly enough to be acknowledged. Sam must be miserable because he was rude and condescending in ALL of his responses. My husband asked a simple question about quantity of skewers in a side of kabob and Sam's response was: "one, it's in the picture." Which in fact it is NOT, nor is it specified anywhere on the displayed menu in the restaurant. Then we were continually, aggressively asked if we wanted anything else while we were still very clearly looking at the menu deciding. Lastly, we asked if they had a rewards system where again Sam's response was: "have you signed up? I don't know, you have to sign up, get the app or go online or something." Obviously we were asking because Sam, with his stellar customer service approach, never mentioned it. Overall this man should NOT be customer facing and he is the reason why probably MANY people have a negative experience at this location. I completely understand "having a bad day", but a grown man should know better than to take it out on the customer. I expect that from an inexperienced 18year old. We will NOT be returning to...
