McDonald's — Restaurant in Virginia

This McDonald's location not only is sub-par with food items compared to other McDonald's I have been to (I've even been to one in South Korea - best service I've had - yay shrimp burgers), but the service and ordering process is horrible.

Not only is their milkshake machine magically broken nearly every day in the summer, but the times I have gone to the drive through, they typically never tend to have honey for a sauce nor can they get an order right. If you're taking the drive through route, make sure you check your bag before you leave.

This is where it gets ridiculous. (I have respect for fast food workers because of the tolerance they have to have for people.) They have an item on their menu called something along the lines of "3 Hotcakes with Sausage." Simple, right?

No. My wife orders it as it is said on the menu - $3.19. Most of the cashiers the day I was present seemed to barely know English. No problem. It's 'Murica. I go to check my receipt and see $9.57 for the 3 Hotcakes. The cashier took it as 3 servings of 3 Hotcakes and Sausage. Alright, fine, people make mistakes. Y'know, I'll take it and have some with my wife.

My wife ordered a Mocha Frappe. We get our food minus the Frappe. See the lady making the Mocha so no problem. The lady then hands the Frappe to a lady that came in ten minutes after us for her morning Frappe or whatever and proceeds to ask us what we are waiting on. The hell you mean? Alright, forgetful. Got it. Ask her to make it and then she wants to argue. Look lady, it's on the receipt, I got it.

Long story short, terrible service here, amateur workers who don't want to be there, food is alright but nothing spectacular in comparison to others. If you want service, go across the street to the Chick-Fil-A.

If you also don't even want to deal with people, go to the McDonald's on Wilson Boulevard. They have a kiosk to order from so you don't even have to worry about terrible people. It's been a long time since I've been to this McDonald's, but I have transitioned to Google reviews now versus Yelp and have transferred this review. I doubt this place has changed, but it was bad enough for me to not return in...

To say this is the worst service at a Mcdonalds I have ever had says a lot. The fact I literally live right around the corner. I go there evening as it is now. There is a young Indian guy at the register it has no line. There is an Asian Manager lady and another older Hispanic lady. I tell the Asian lady give me a sec to look at the menu. The young guy takes my order. I wait10 plus minutes for 3 cheeseburgers with no one in front of me. Some little kids come up and the Asian manager gets excited telling them about a survey to get a free sandwich all the while I am still waiting for my food while others get served in the drive thru. No we are busy because they were not. No thanks for waiting. They were not even doing my order because I could see them. The kids ask for a cup of water and steal actual soda without paying for it. So my food comes no thanks for waiting and we apologize nothing. I will never ever ever come back there again. I suggest if you want good pleasant quick service go else where. The kids got treated better and they were taking soda and getting a free sandwich. Unacceptable treatment for a paying customer. Not professional. I forgot to mention there are tons of rats as others have mentioned it outside running in a hole inside the building. This means they are inside the building probably in the back storage in the food with feces on the buns or worse. If you want to get deathly sick from rats be my guest but i live in walking distance. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have had issues with this McDonalds. Last time the food was cold. I just went there it has a lot of teens working there goofing around. My food was cold again. It wasn't even cooked properly and the bread on one of my sandwiches looked like it fell on the ground. I avoid McDonalds with teens working because they don't care about customer service or food. I told the teen as I got my order that wasn't even 2 minutes really fast that I hoped my food was cooked. It wasn't. I tried to give this place plenty of chances but the staff is not professional hire some mature adults there not immature teens. I am done. Update the Indian manager a guy made things right. He was very professional. When he's there things run smooth but when he's not they don't. The other managers seem like they don't care. They have huge rats there I left recently and saw one running outside under a crack in the building. That place stinks so bad inside and the bathroom is super disgusting. There's flies in the cookie box. The food has a strange smell to it. I heard they serve really old food that has been sitting out all day long and reheat it. I have vomit my food and now I know why. Avoid this McDonald's. Just eat chick fil A. That McDonald's should be shut down by health inspectors. You will get deathly sick eating there. The staff is not clean.
