I love this place!!! I am so thankful my husband and son happened upon it, and then liked it so much, they brought me a couple of weeks later. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I had a hot dog, all the way, and was delighted that they use Nathan's hot dogs, like we do at home. The chili was awesome also. The crinkle cut fries were good. The first time my family ate here they got shrimp. The next time that I ate here my husband and I got the daily special, spaghetti and garlic bread. It was good and we got milkshakes for dessert. It’s been over 20 years since I discovered this diamond in the rough and nearly as long since my last visit. Yesterday however, I had the pleasure of returning and taking my sister for her first visit. Monty’s is still amazing! The atmosphere, service, food, price, ice cream are all perfect. My sister ordered the grilled cheese and I the hamburger, which is huge, both served with fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious! We couldn’t leave though without dessert. Today the waitress seemed a little rushed a person that was blind did not feel the waitress was personable enough. The person that was blind really didn't tip good because of the way they felt based on the service of the waitress. She brought the food but she did not give the person that was blind enough time to even ask or say anything before jogging off from the table. The person that was blind felt the sugars being tossed on the table and I that could see saw how it was tossed on the table. The waitress didn't have a moment to wait when she interacted at our table to see what he had to say. The food was good. Not a repeat...
