New China — Restaurant in Virginia

The service was very good but, unfortunately, the food was not great. The coating on the Orange Chicken was sort of “gummy” for lack of a better term (almost tasted undercooked, but the chicken inside was certainly cooked all the way through. The Lo Mein noodles were really bland, but the texture was good. The Spicy Pork was good, but not amazing. It saddens me to post this. I have been eating here for at least a year and my family loved their food. However, on today- we ordered a meal and it had 3 small pebbles in it. After calling the restaurant to let them know- the male chef's response was not sincere or apologetic in any way to my wife and he didn't take responsibility for it. Ordered General Tso's Chicken. Got fried dough balls that are oddly shaped drenched in brown syrup and rice that is better described as "yellow rice" than "fried" rice. Imitation Chinese food manufactured for American taste buds with absolutely no respect for Chinese cuisine. I'll try a few other dishes and revise my review if the food gets better.

Service - super friendly and kind.

Recommendation - drive 15 minutes and get Panda...
