Decided to try the pho here because I was really craving it and I had high hopes. I was given a price that was $4 more than what was on their online menu and posted. When I picked it up everything looked okay but when I got home I realized that the broth that they make their pho with is quite literally wonton soup broth. So don't advertise it as pho, pho broth is very specific with specific spices and if you skip that part you've FAILED at what you are advertising. If you are are a respecter of an all Vietnamese food, you will not be impressed at all with this place. The brisket is supposed to be very rare or uncooked with pho, the soups heat traditionally cooks the meat. and the brisket was overdone and boiled..I can't stop thinking about the chicken stock broth + it damn near tasted like any kind of wonton soup broth that you would get at a Chinese food restaurant. I ended up having to go to Kroger and buy the carton of pho that they sell at their store in order to dress it up in a way that would pass as pho. Also, ridiculously expensive. They are charging for this "glorified wonton soup broth" close to 17 dollars and I will not be back. Come on, let's get real... We are talking about Petersburg, VA. My expectations were not grand, but for close to 20 dollars you should at THE VERY LEAST get the broth recipe correct. everything these days is a scam, and this place is just another one of many. BUT HEY, KEEP RAISING YOUR PRICES! this place should be boycotted and left to rott. Most if not all of you would probably be ok with the pho here bc you have no taste and are not cultured or well traveled enough to understand how subpar this offense to Vietnam was... And to those people I say, your part of the problem bc you accept this crap and think it passes as "great". To anyone who thinks this pho was passable, you need to...

Ground level tables were occupied, so we were brought downstairs. Area with no charm at all, and kid (owner's?) playing video game at a table. I wasn't too impressed with my curry, the potato chunks looked green and were too hard for my liking (I like it when they fall apart, not when I have to cut with a knife). My husband liked his dish okay. We ordered the large portions, which indeed are large, although only a small amount of rice with them. Our waiter never checked in on us at all after delivering the food, and when we went upstairs to ask for a to go box and pay, we found him him eating his own dinner. We were surprised that on our bill 3 x $1.00 charge was added, and one time $0.50. I believe the latter was for take out boxes that we asked for, but the former was vague. The lady mentioned something about prices going up. The menu had some prices crossed out and changed, but I guess ours got a hidden price increase. I certainly didn't appreciate being charged more than advertised on the menu (could have said so at time of ordering?). Total was $38 for 2 chicken curry dinners. I have had much better for much less, and with the lacking service and atmosphere, I won't be going...

Y'all! I cannot even begin to describe the terrible experience we just had. We ordered Doordash pickup and arrived at the scheduled time to get our food. After waiting for a bit, were told our food had been picked up by a Doordash delivery driver and accidentally delivered to the wrong house. Oh, but wait, the driver was on the way back and we need to wait because the food wasn't opened. We insisted they either remake or refund the food. They refused and insisted we wait for the food to come back or work through Doordash for a refund. I mean, come on, it left your restaurant and went to someone else's house, but you just want us to trust that it wasn't opened? That's just gross. We left without our food or a refund. Definitely will not return, which sucks, because this the only Thai place in town. For what it's worth, we were there for over 20 minutes and in that time 1) the Doordash driver did not return, but 2) the person whose house our food went to showed up and got their food hot and fast (and free, because Doordash had...

Old Towne Petersburg has no shortage of great food, but Nisa Thai Cuisine 2 continues to stand out. This small Thai restaurant delivers consistently fresh flavors, warm service, and dishes that feel like true comfort food. If you’re looking for an underrated spot with authentic meals and a cozy atmosphere, this is one place you don’t want to overlook. #petersburgva #oldtownepetersburgva #thaifoodlovers #rvaeats #hiddengemsva

Ordered on q menu for the second. The first time I thought they didn’t have my order ready due to day and time but this i ordered day before for next day when they open. My pick up time was for 11:15 am , I came in at 11:23 am . She said my order as if she just remembered she confirmed it. They went back there to cook it. This took 15 minutes to get my food which she burned (didn’t see until I got home for work) trying to cook fast and I asked her what would be better call in or q menu pick up because my order wasn’t ready again and I have go to work. She giggled and say either way, I said but I’m which is better for it to actually be ready . She mumbled something, this was beef pho ( had barely any beef) I was trying and the curry puffs are burned and taste burned, none of instructions were followed. I have had pho at other places this was underwhelming and had minimum ingredients vs various veggies, quail egg

This restaurant was good, but could make simple changes to be better. 1. We had dine in — late June- over 85F inside- door open and No AC (employee said it was broken) 2. Curry was soup consistency— great taste and flavor but more like Curry Tom Yum soup (if there is such a thing?). 3. Prices reasonable— except for drinks (non-alcoholic) 4. Spring rolls good, but do not recommend fish cakes at all. Overall this isn’t a bad place — I’d probably stick with some Thai staples and not venture around the menu too much. Good take out option, and they had lots of door dash orders. If you want excellent Thai in the area, you’ll probably have to go to north of Petersburg.
