The event space was very beautiful. But the customer service by the owner was very poor. My wedding coordinator was pushed to rush the delivery of my wedding. Once I obtained her services and signed the contract she switched everything up. We did not appreciate her micromanaging the wedding ceremony and micromanaging the wedding coordinator. The owner interjected herself into the wedding by cleaning up and breaking down my tables at 5:30 and we had the building until 9:00. The owner told my guests that she gave us more than what we paid for. The owner cut the soloist song off and told the wedding coordinator that we had to hurry up. We didn’t light our unity candles, we didn’t throw the bouquet, we didn’t take the gaudier off . All because she decided that we needed to hurry up. It is one thing to pay for a service on your wedding day and then have someone else micromanage your event. I was told I had a bridal suite for me and the ladies to get ready, it was a cluttered office space and for the price and advertising it was not a bridal suite. When you are looking for an event space be sure to find out how involved the owner is going to be in your wedding. Micromanaging your event by the owner made it very difficult for the wedding coordinator to do her job. All of this reflected as my friends and family saw what the owner did and my guests were very uncomfortable and disappointed in the owner they way she interjected herself in the wedding. First of all, the staff at the Appomattox Event Center were outstanding. Their professionalism and genuine warmth made the entire planning process a breeze. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my event was meticulously executed. The team was always available to answer any questions or concerns I had, making me feel valued and cared for throughout.
As for the venue itself, it was nothing short of breathtaking! The Appomattox Event Center radiates a unique charm that seamlessly blends modern amenities with a touch of classic elegance. The spacious and versatile event rooms are impeccably designed, offering a perfect atmosphere for any occasion.
