Absolutely Disgusted – Major Rat Infestation Ignored by Staff
I’ve been a regular at this hookah lounge for over a year and never imagined I’d have to write something like this. Over the past five months, the experience here has completely deteriorated—so much so that I feel obligated to warn others for the sake of their health.
About two months ago, I saw my first rat in the lounge. I notified the servers and the hookah guy, and instead of taking it seriously, they laughed it off. The rat ran to the back, and my friends and I decided to cut our night short and leave. Disgusting, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Weeks later, a friend I had previously recommended this spot to sent me a photo of a mouse she saw while smoking hookah. Embarrassed and concerned, I still hoped that maybe it was a one-off.
But yesterday was my last straw.
After making previous complaints to staff (who know me because I’m there often), I saw a rat walking across the ceiling. At first, I questioned what I was seeing—but minutes later, it appeared again. Then, while sitting and smoking hookah with my friend, I saw another rat on the sofa just a few tables down from us. It started running toward us. We screamed, jumped onto our chairs, and called over the server and host. They were confused and laughing, saying “there’s nothing they can do and apologized.”
To make it worse, other customers on the other side of the venue said they had seen a rat 20 minutes earlier and told us to “just ignore it.” Between myself and two friends, we’ve witnessed over seven rats in this lounge. That’s not a coincidence. That’s an infestation.
I told the server we weren’t staying and weren’t paying for the hookah or tea (we had only been smoking there for 15 minutes). I asked to speak to the manager or owner. She told us they weren’t there and wouldn’t give us a number. Then, as we were about to leave, she came running saying she got the manager on the phone and that we didn’t have to pay—but only if we deleted the videos we took of the rat.
That was the most disturbing part.
They clearly care more about hiding the evidence than fixing the actual problem. Telling me I had to delete videos from my own phone just to not pay for a disgusting experience was completely inappropriate and borderline coercive.
Even though I showed her I deleted one video, we already have multiple videos of rats inside this business from previous occurrences. This is a serious health code violation, and I plan to report it. This lounge is not just unsanitary—it’s dangerous.
DO NOT eat or smoke here. For your own health and safety, please avoid this place at all costs. It’s heartbreaking to say this as a longtime customer, but this establishment is completely infested and doing...

This waitress asked us if we would buy tickets for $60 to join the concert. After she showed us the singer’ flyer, we said no, just we came to smoke hookah. Because we were not in the mode of concert and we hadn’t heard a single song from that singer before. She took us to another salon. After few minutes after, a waiter came and said “The boss invited you to join concert with no tickets”. We said, thank you. We went to the concert, but that rude waitress said no, you can’t set here. We explained to her that the boss invited us. She said “no matter what, you have to leave if you don’t pay for tickets”. I grabbed a chair and said, no, we are not leaving. If you have any problem, go talk with your boss. Her coworker came and said they are fine, the boss invited them. She went back. For a moment during the concert, we raised our hands to cheers for singer’s performance. She came straight to our table and said in front of others, because you are enjoying your time, you have to pay tickets at the end, we wouldn’t mind to pay $180 extra, but she was too much. Lots of the guests were at the same situation like us with no tickets. That small concert was just a promotion for Kabana. After a few minutes she came again and said, sorry I have to close to payment. In deed, Kabana closes at 4am on weekends and it was before midnight. She was extremely rude and tries to over charge customers if you don’t notice as she charged us before around $130 for one hookah, two sandwiches, and...
