7-Eleven — Local services in Arlington

The owner of this 7-Eleven contracts a predatory tow truck company called "Advanced Towing Company." These tow truck drivers sit across the street from the 7-11 parking lot and wait for you to walk away from your vehicle. Once you're gone, they swoop in and tow your car within minutes, even if you are a customer of the 7-Eleven and parked in a legal spot.

Furthermore, this towing company has a long documented history of illegally towing cars, physically damaging the cars, trying to tow cars that had children and pets inside, breaking into the cars to remove valid parking passes, and other general scummy behavior. There is even video of their receptionist being verbally and physically abusive on multiple occasions. The Attorney General has also sued this company in the past because of their predatory practices. Why would this 7-Eleven work with such a company?

The owner of this 7-Eleven will resist intervening or helping you if you are wrongly targeted by Advanced Towing Company. He will claim he doesn't want to get involved, despite that towing company literally working on his behalf.

If you don't want to be aggressively targeted by "Advanced Towing Company" and end up paying a ridiculous amount to reclaim your vehicle, I suggest you DO NOT VISIT THIS 7-ELEVEN. I visited the 7-Eleven store in our neighborhood recently, and my experience was extremely disappointing. First, the store was dirty, with stained floors and shelves filled with disorganized products. It felt like I had walked into a neglected store.

The bigger issue was with the customer service. The employee behind the counter seemed completely uninterested in his work, busy on his phone and didn’t even bother to look at me when I was standing right in front of him. When I asked for assistance, he responded in a rude and condescending manner, as if he didn’t want to help me at all.

Additionally, the prices in the store were overpriced compared to other nearby shops, and there were no noticeable deals or discounts. I felt like I paid more for poor service and low-quality products.

I go here a lot (3-5 times a week) as I live close by. I notice there’s one lady that works here that’s been in arguments with customers on more than one occasion. I grabbed 2 bottles of wine here just a second ago, left the store and by the time I got to the sidewalk one bag broke and my wine bottle smashed. I went back in and politely told them and that same lady just waved me off and said “outside” (it happened outside, not our problem). I get rules but if you bag items for a living and single bag a large bottle of wine, there might be a level of responsibility on your shoulders too.
