Craving a sweet treat on campus but looking for something vegan-friendly? Look no further than Nu Vegan Cafe at George Mason University's Johnson Center! I recently indulged in their Lotus Biscoff ice cream, and let me tell you, it was phenomenal. The creamy texture and rich flavor perfectly captured the essence of the beloved cookie butter, leaving me wanting more.
But beyond the delicious ice cream, what truly impressed me was the outstanding service, especially on a Thursday near closing time. The staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even as the day wound down. They were happy to answer my questions about the menu and made sure I had everything I needed for a enjoyable experience.
Nu Vegan Cafe isn't just about stellar desserts, though. They offer a wide variety of plant-based dishes, from savory sandwiches and wraps to hearty bowls and refreshing smoothies. The cafe itself boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed study session or catching up with friends.
Whether you're a vegan student, a health-conscious local, or simply looking for a delicious and friendly spot on campus, Nu Vegan Cafe is a must-try! With its delectable food, warm atmosphere, and exceptional service, it's sure to become a new favorite.

Read moreThis week was my maiden voyage to this GMU NuVegan location, having visited the D.C. and College Park locations for years. The server tells me the original company owns this location, when some others are franchises. She said this NuVegan supplies other parts of the campus, and apparently one of the stores on the first floor. Maybe that helps maintain...
Read moreThe food is pretty good- they have a decent variety. It’s nice knowing everything on the menu is vegan, it’s the closest place to Loudoun County to get a full vegan menu. The location is hard to find, and get into. It’s located inside the college campus food hall, parking is weird for non students/faculty. I like to ask for recommendations, but the two times I’ve been it was like pulling teeth to get any feedback. Asking about sauces, but no one really knows what the taste is like? Maybe the kids working there don’t eat that food? I just end up buying a few different dishes and seeing if it’s good, it’s been toss...
