Paisano's Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

I’ve been to this location multiple times, and normally the food isn’t bad, but tonight was definitely the last time for me. This is my first review for anything because it was so bad. The service has never stood out to me—in fact that’s normally bad too— and although they went out of their way to give me free dessert I didn’t ask for because of my long wait, the pizza itself is what made me write this review. They had to remake my cheese pizza because the bottom fell out in their oven. Ok, no problem. Then I get home, settle in, and open the box to find a 2in layer of cheese which had made the pizza’s bottom, again, fall out, and it was soggy from the amount of cheese and not long enough in their oven to bake it so it wouldn’t fall through. My first job was a pizza place: the dough was kneaded too thin in the middle and they loaded on WAY TOO MUCH cheese, idk, to make me feel better? I even tried to take off some of the cheese and bake it in my oven to firm up the bottom— didn’t work, it was too soggy to save. Also, whoever cut the thing didn’t help its case. Honestly it comes down to I think the kids working were more interested in socializing than doing their jobs. It’s not the first time I’ve thought so, and normally I don’t really care, but that’s the worst pizza I have ever gotten, and I felt it was rushed, even though I was there long before...

Update 8/2/2024 Lost a star. The food is usually good, but I don't want to be met with MSNBC propaganda when I walk through the door. Today I had to stand there and listen to 5 minutes of Democrat talking points. Not a good look!

Update 4/12/2024: ordered food for pickup using the paisannos app. Unfortunately I ordered a Stromboli with pepperoni, sausage and meatball, but received a Stromboli including ham. Yuck! It was too late for me to return it when I discovered the mistake. This has happened before with this paisannos.

OLDER: Now you may ask why I only gave it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5? Well it's simply too expensive for my family to order from Paisanos. The food is fantastic and I used to order every Friday from this specific location. Their Strombolis, Calzones, garlic knots, and Meat Lovers Pizza are our favorites. Don't get me wrong, they're not perfect, and sometimes the food delivered to us didn't meat expectations, but that was at most 5% of the time. We bit the bullet and splurged on Pasainos for New Years Eve and it was great. I just wish I could afford to order from them more often. Sadly, since the beginning of 2021, inflation hit my family hard given our buying power decreased markedly. If you can keep up with inflation God Bless you and go order...
