Poke Mian - Stafford — Restaurant in Virginia

I thought the food tasted good for the most part. I do have some suggestions that I think could help them overall. just my opinion based on other successful Poke Restaurants I’ve tried around the world.

I did a 2x BYOB - white rice, spicy tuna & ahi tuna, seaweed salad, jalapeños, sesame seeds, green onion, tempura crunch, pickled ginger, sriracha aioli and toasted sesame seed sauces. **wish they had purple cabbage and some watermelon radishes!!

Prep work. The spicy tuna was pulverized into practically a paste. It tasted fine but made it difficult to enjoy a little with every bite. *Make it more chunky, and less like a paste. I practically got an entire jalapeño, huge uneven slices, with the middle and ALL the seeds. That’s just lazy prep work honestly. Very few people want to eat a seeded jalapeño chunk. The sauces were good, however, save your company some money and bottle them. Watching the server scoop it out of a tub with a ladle was odd. Using a bottle allows to evenly spread and presents WAY better. Get rid of the mini pop corn bowls. As soon as I saw that, I kinda regretting coming to try this place, as weird as that sounds; it was just off putting and seemed cheap. Get a clear plastic bowl.

Overall, I’d try it again. Room to improve, but the food tasted good, the workers were friendly-ish, and price was...

They refused to serve me and two of my friends because we did not have masks on. Even though everything is fully open. I felt that the way the manager approached us was harsh and antagonistic. We didn’t cause a scene and we weren’t rude even though we were talked down to and treated unfair. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for this one reason.

Tiffany, I can’t respond to your post so I’m editing my review so you can see my response. I personally don’t have a problem with your policy, I believe as a private establishment you have the right to ask people to wear chairs on their heads to order if you so choose. My problem is how ( I’m assuming it was you ) treated me. If you had talked to me like you have in the comments would have gladly put a mask on and ordered. But you came out of the back guns blazing and very aggressive! This is beyond unprofessional and just down right ridiculous! So I won’t be back. And I hope that everyone else in Stafford has enough self respect not to give you business...

Went here last night about 20 mins before closing so I can’t speak too much about the service. The workers were in the middle of cleaning it but were nice while taking our order. Although all the chairs were put up the restaurant itself look really cute and clean. I would definitely dine in next time. We initially went in to get poke bowls but then realized they sold ramen and decided to try that instead since it was chilIy. I got veggie ramen and my partner got spicy miso pork. My veggie was just okay not a super flavorful broth or ingredient but all the topping were nice and fresh, my partner liked his ramen. I also ordered veggie rolls and he order pork dumplings. We all LOVED the veggies rolls including my toddler and he LOVED his pork dumplings. Will definitely be back for the poke bowls and the dine...
