Potbelly — Restaurant in Virginia

What horrible service. It’s Tuesday morning 6 June 2023. The young lady working was one of the worst customer service reps we have had in a while. What made it even worse was that the manager ( young man) was just as bad! Bad leadership, bad followers. It’s the airport. I get it…. We are global travelers and have seen the best and the worst. We own several businesses and one of them is a restaurant which has over 200 rates and all ( but 1) are five stars. Why?? We make sure EVERYONE feels like family the moment they walk in the door. Even if this place was the only place open, if I saw these two jokers I would not eat there. OWNER of this shop.. these two are hurting your business. Get rid of them. They don’t appreciate the opportunity you have given them. YOU HAVE A Captive audience. You don’t need people like this ruining your businesses. They will only chase any chance of returning customers away! Then they argue because they want more money!! We are first timers and would not return if we see them there. Sorry you have employees like this. They will kill your business. You’re better off with people who are dying to work for you. First time at Potbelly, I was at IAD airport and there was Chick-fil-A, and other options to eat lunch. I never had Potbelly sandwich so I looked at the menu and there was vegetarian option and your regular sandwich option when I saw the meatball sandwich I had to try it. I got the sandwich with your signature, hot peppers . It was good! The bread was lightly toasted to perfection. Tip: I got the large sandwich. It’s only four more dollars , two people can eat it so I saved half for my better half. Also it comes out cheaper. I will stop at Potbelly again for sure. About to do a Google search if it is in my city of Raleigh NC. Also I must say from the gentlemen that took my order in line to the cashier, the whole team was wonderful. Promising until disappointment hits. My wife orders a loaded potato soup and I a chicken sandwich. When it comes time to pay, we are then told "we don't have loaded potato soup" no one notified us while the sandwich was prepping and the only excuse we get was "the guy taking your order probably didn't know" meanwhile, what's the story for everyone else?

Secondly, my sandwich, some of the meat was cold. I tasted more bread and onions instead of the chicken (might as well have gone to subway) and behold a jalepeño was found. Which I am allergic to. Assuming the lady who assembled the sandwich didn't know it was there, this blunder tells me that the cross contamination isn't well kept or made aware of.
