Updating review: Updated to 1 star because an hour after I wrote this review, I realized I had food poisoning from this place, and had to get on my flight extremely sick. Would not recommend getting on a flight with food poisoning, and definitely wouldn't recommend chancing the food here.
This place was not it. I wanted to love it; it had modern vibes and looked like a great spot to drop by for a bite. Looked super busy and in passing, the food looked great. But unfortunately the only thing I can recommend is the beer.
When we talked to our waiter and asked him for recommendations, he had none at all. That was the first red flag (and now I understand why). We ordered the chicken tenders and a pretzel to split, both with a miller on the side (about $85 worth of food and drink).
The pretzels were unseasoned and came with cold queso. We asked if the queso could be heated up at least, and they gave us a second cold queso. The chicken tenders were cooked perfectly (breading was great!) but not a single ounce of seasoning or flavor. You'd never catch me leaving chicken tenders on my plate, but today I did. The miller was exactly as we had hoped, refreshing and cold, and that's why I left at least two stars. I enjoyed the miller, and if I would've known how the food would be, I would've probably just gotten another miller and called it a night.
Overall disappointing experience. And for $85 for two people, you expect the food to at least be decent. I wouldn't recommend. If you find yourself in the Dulles airport, look for food elsewhere unless you like your...
Read moreStopped here on my way to Charlotte, NC. I ordered some of their breaded buffalo wings and a ginger ale, and could tell they would have been amazing...if they hadn't been left waiting to be served long enough for the wings to be room temperature and soggy by the time I got them. They were quite big, with lots of meat on each one and the breading was light enough to taste but not weigh them down.
I also waited near 20 minutes to see my waitress after before giving up and asking the hostess for my bill. I cannot stress how bad the service was on this visit. This is not to say it's a consistent issue. I don't travel through Dulles enough to give an opinion on that. However, I will not be returning, given there are other options in the terminal. My recommendation to anyone considering eating here alone is to sit at the bar or wait until they're not busy to eat. Otherwise, avoid it! There is nothing more annoying than being served cold food when you're already dealing with the bs of travelling.
Edit: After looking at other recent reviews, decided I had been entirely too generous. Dear manager/owner, if you're staff are doing so poorly that so many people feel the need to review..you may need to reassess if you are in the right...
Read moreI had hair in my food. It was the French toast. I ate 3/4 but when I got to the 4 piece I noticed a piece of hair in the cheese filling. I called the manager over to show her and even pulled It out in front of her. She asked me to give her the plate and she then took it to the back. No apology or anything. After about 15 minutes of not hearing anything back, I asked what was going on and was told they were remaking my order. Any normal restaurant will ask you if you want a remake or a refund. I was nearly finished and honestly it was way too sweet so I told her I just wanted a discount or refund. Most restaurants won’t even charge you for hair in your food. But since I had eaten 3 out of the 4 I felt like 50% off my bill would have been fair. So when I complained about the 20% discount, (it should have at least been 25% since I couldn’t eat 1/4 of the dish) the same manager that saw me pull the hair out of my food tells me it wasn’t hair but it was the bread. And she then continued to argue that it wasn’t hair but something else. The lack of professionalism and customer service is Infuriating. I wish I could give them less...
