In addition to the bartenders was also impressed by the exceptional service provided by the maître d', Sarah. Her professionalism and dedication to ensuring a top-notch experience made my visit unforgettable.
From the moment I arrived, Sarah greeted me with a warm smile and a delightful accent, either from Great Britain or Australia, which added an extra charm to the atmosphere. Her welcoming demeanor immediately put me at ease and set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable time at the lounge.
Sarah went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Noticing that I was a bit overwhelmed after a long flight, she promptly assisted with my luggage and ensured I had a comfortable seat in a quiet area. Her attentiveness and genuine concern for my well-being were truly remarkable.

Read moreNot even worth 1 star. First time in this lounge. After one drink, which I will say was very good (old fashioned 4 roses) I was told it was their policy to drink water before being served another cocktail when I later asked for another. Sure, at first I thought how nice, strange but nice,. So I drank a glass of water. I then had some food, then I asked for another glass of water, and after that I asked for a shot of espresso. Nearly an hour had passed before I even asked for my next cocktail, but the employee refused to serve me. He said no because it was policy. It confused me how being served one drink, and it being my only drink the whole day, how it was policy. Especially because I saw how others continued to be served many drinks. I asked for the manager, who seemed biased to the turnover from his employee, who told me that he had served me multiple drinks. I assured him he only served me one drink an hour ago and offered he checked the cameras to prove it. Complete resistance. There was no reasoning even being as polite as possible, so I let it go. Nearly 20 mins had passed and I found out my flight was further delayed. I asked the female employee for an old fashioned and she refused to serve me. It was the strangest situation I’ve ever encountered at a bar, and for this matter an elite lounge, supposedly. She directed me to the manager again, which again felt like talking to a wall. To me, I’ve never felt more discriminated against. I’m really scratching my head trying to make sense of this situation.
Maybe I looked like another customer they previously served? I just can’t understand but it really left me bothered and I’m never going to visit this lounge again. My loyalty to capital one is also being questioned. Least to say, I am very disappointed in the entire staff that I interacted with at the Dulles location on August 29th, 2024 between...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. I have several capital one cards and have gone to several of their private events for card holders. This lounge will treat you like the scum of the earth if you do not have a confirmed seat, when I listed myself on the waitlist the door greeter asked if I had a confirmed seat and I told her I didn’t but she still put me on the list and let me wait for 30 minutes. When I received the text that It was my turn to enjoy the lounge I was turned down for not having a confirmed seat. If you fly southwest or basic economy you might as well not even attempt to go in this lounge. My biggest issue was the guy that worked at the counter who called the door greeter over to tell us that she didn’t recall hearing us say we didn’t have a confirmed seat but she, herself, could not say we didn’t. She heard us say we didn’t have a confirmed seat and still allowed us to wait and they do not have a real waiting area either. He downplayed this to a matter of miscommunication and was unapologetic and just showed me the policy about the confirmed seat. We all pay the same fee for the venture x card but we all cannot reap the benefits of the card without a confirmed seat. Leaving out a large group of people. When I applied for the venture X card they did not have that policy so I’m not sure how they can keep adding more rules to exclude their card members from enjoying the benefits this card...
