I went in today at about 11:55am. The guy that I first came to asked what he could get me, but was rude and had an attitude throughout my short interaction with him. I very clearly stated the size, bread, and type of sandwich the first time, but he looked at me with this blank stare and asked me ‘what?’ 3 times before he got it… after this I get back home only to find the ‘A Wreck’ sandwich that he prepared the meat for didn’t have but one piece of roast beef on it and not even close to the amount of meat they’ve always put on this sandwich in the past. I’ve been here before and never had any issues to this magnitude, but I have had issues with this one specific employee and their inability to adequately be a customer facing employee and represent the business because they are unhappy in some way.
I remained respectful to the two other lady’s in there and I did not mention anything in store or hold up the line that formed behind me, however, this experience will lead me to not go back. In fear that this employee would do something to the food, such as not be consistent in preparing sandwiches for people dependent on mood or if they like a particular person. $14.95 with tip (because I wouldn’t not tip because of just one rude employee) is not the most expensive but not the cheapest, and I feel that the employees help make the experience and food worth the price.
If it’s your first time at potbelly’s, steer clear of this particular one as you may find the person behind the counter is...
Read moreThe food here is good I can't complain. But the workers seem to have a hard time with making a half roast beef/half turkey sandwich. This is the second time where I had issues with this.
Per the manager, they said they put 4oz of meat on a sandwich. I asked for half roast beef and half turkey. Instead of putting 2 oz of roast beef and 2 oz of turkey, the employee put 4 oz of each, totaling to 8 oz of meat on my sandwich. Therefore, the manager charged me for double meat. WHICH IS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR.
It is basic math. This is the only potbelly shop where they can't do something as simple as Half roast beef/half turkey. It's like rocket science to them. I dont understand why they can't do simple math.
That being said, the manager wasn't trying to work with me to understand my frustration and all he said was "you should have told her". ... Which I did. I simply asked for HALF/HALF, not EXTRA meat!! So then the manager said, "Next time, order a wreck and remove the salami and ham".. That said, last time I asked for that, they only gave me 1 slice roast beef and 1 slice turkey, but did not replace the salami and hamd with another slice of roast beef/turkey. So I ended up getting less meat than expected.
As stated, I don't have this issue when ordering my sandwich at any other Potbelly shop in northern VA. Unfortunately, this is the only potbelly in town. So I do plan on going back, with...
Read moreI’ve been going for about 4 some years and today was what sparked me to write this review.
My aunt and some of my family went there as they were on vacation here.
It’s pouring and my aunt jokingly said hah, wouldn’t it be nice if the employee brought out the umbrella and walked us to the car?
And you know what happeeed? An nearby employee laughed with us and ended up to my embarrassment, amusement, and horror, picking up the umbrella and actually leading us out to the car (otherwise known as he worlds ugliest vehicle).
I left this 5 star review because of overall good rich deep theme of the restaurant and also the food is amazing and the same from location to location and (not in a bad way) and the customer service.
Sidenote: The place has the most homliest vibe you’ll ever get from a restaurant and the best lighting at night or when...
