TLDR - when an order is delivered you will sign a sheet to accept delivery. If there is any damage, even the slightest, document it and TAKE A PHOTO of the delivery sheet for your records/proof. Customer Service tried to tell me I accepted delivery of couches with no documented damage and accused me of trying to claim something that wasn't La-Z-Boy's fault. The tone changed very quickly when I told her I have a photo from delivery that is signed by me and taken by the delivery driver.
Trying to get 2 couches delivered that don't have a tear/rip/damage has proven to be impossible. 2 couches arrived damaged and the store manager ordered 2 replacement couches. The 2 replacement couches came and were in even worse condition. La-Z-Boy sales associates tried to blame it on their 3rd party delivery partner. News flash, your 3rd party partner is an extension of your company so if you continue to have delivery issues, maybe the partnership should be re-evaluated.
Radio silence since the replacement couches were delivered with damage. La-Z-Boy's stance is if there is damage you shouldn't accept it. As a buyer/prospective buyer, if a company holds full payment, sends you a damaged product, and says just refuse, they should instantly refund your money. Instead they'll hold it but you are 110% within your rights to contact your credit card company and have that money withdrawn from La-Z-Boy and credited back to you.
It really is a shame because the couches are nice and comfortable but I take serious issue with paying over $3000 for couches and being told my standards are too high aka to expect fabric that isn't ripped.
Still waiting for my emails to be answered or for the multiple sales associates that said "I'll call you back by the end of the day." Many end of days...

I had done lots of research, had measurements, had visited the store, knew what I wanted, and determined what would fit, and we went in to make the purchase. There was a bit of struggle with the sales person understanding what I was asking for, and understanding that I really had done the research, really did know what I was talking about with the data I had collected. I stated over and over that I wanted a two-seat loveseat, and she was working through her suggestions and showing me possibilities , still thinking I wanted a three seat piece. There was also a little confusion in her collecting the data for the fabrics we wanted, though we had already identified them. One would think she would have recorded the choices when we picked them rather than having to find them all over again when she was completing the order. Maybe the communication breakdown was my fault, but it was frustrating to keep trying to say what I wanted, but feeling unheard. I felt at times this could be due to a language barrier, but I don’t want to assume that—she was trying! All in all, she was very nice and I think she was trying to do the right thing…and we ended up finally getting our order placed. We are sad that we will wait so long (near 3months) to actually get our pieces, but apparently that is a supply issue and can’t be helped.    Read moreI went to the La-Z-Boy Furniture location in Gainesville, VA. My experience there was very good. I worked with Tina Kadah mostly & Hailey Steffen as well. Tina was very patient with my wife & I after we explained what we were looking for. She showed us several different options with different features. She understood what we were looking for and did not try to induce us to get something we didn’t want. After making a selection she wrote up the order & thanked us for our purchase & low & behold as we were exiting we saw a group of furniture that we fell more in love with that wasn’t even on our radar screen. This was where her patience was truly tested! She was able to void the 1st purchase & wrote out a complete new sale for our second selection. All with a smile & great service. Hailey came in for questions about decor & design options & was great at what she did as well. I was more than pleased with the quality of service, selection & knowledge of them both. They spent an inordinate amount of time with us & it made our experience a pleasure. Shout out to the Manager (Christine or possibly Christie) I believe it was for including a very nice promotional gift for us before we headed out of the showroom. This was above & beyond what we expected. I would highly recommend this location & the great folks who work there. I’m hoping delivery is equally as good.
