I don't know what has happened to this place, but it is not like it used to be. The staff is completely different from the ladies I recognized for many years. I ordered a two-piece chicken and biscuit and a roast beef sandwich. I asked how much it would be to substitute white meat for my chicken dinner and she told me $2. I wanted two breasts and she told me I could not have that. I said fine a breast and a wing. I took the items to go and ate them at home. the roast beef sandwich was so dry. I tried condiments to try and get some moisture back into it. Nothing helped. the chicken was the skinniest bird. I used to be an inspector in what is now a Purdue company so I know chicken. I believe this franchise was bought out by someone else. I will not be returning. I am 65 years old and have eaten at Roy Rogers so many times I can't even count. Back in the day at TC Williams in the '70s there was a Roy Rogers that everyone ate at. I also worked in the Hayfield area where there was a Roy Rogers. I know I ate Roy Rogers at least twice a month. I am not near the one at Hayfield as I have retired and do not work in that area anymore. However my dentist is in the area of the one on Route 1 as pictured here where I would frequent after my visit to the dentist. Not anymore. It was awful. And I left out the part that I just stood there waiting for the lady to wait on me and she said nothing. I had to come up to her and ask her if she could take my order.
I went here today to order roast beef sandwich, and a Piece of chicken and biscuit.Roy Rogers makes the best Roast beef sandwich.Arby's is pressed meat and pretty much disgusting. While i was there waiting for my Food order, I could see them freshly slicing my roast beef. The only downside here, is you have to get out of the car and go inside. The ladies are so friendly. It was worth the extra 5...
Read moreThis was my first time ever at this place. Last Friday we had a strong storm in the area and the electricity went off since Friday until Saturday pm. I went to a new grocery store and asked for help. I asked the ladies in customer service, that while doing my shopping if it was possible to charge my dead cell phone because it was down due to the storm and I wanted to get in touch with my mother that is sick. The ladies from this new grocery store said a big "NO". I understand that you don't go to a grocery store to charge your battery, but this was an emergency, I was disappointed. I was worried because of this, but at the same time I needed to have some breakfast with my medicine, so I arrived to Roy Rogers, asked for the same help and the ladies in the front, very nice, helped me immediately. this talks and means a lot, an excellent customer service. I was able to charge my cell phone while having breakfast and called my mother. Breakfast: I asked for a cheeseburger, it was really good, a big piece of meat that I enjoyed. Atmosphere: it was almost full and it is understandable because people were there to have breakfast. Fast and good service. I came back the next day, Sunday and asked for the roast beef sandwich that was great!!! and the person that was in the front, Drayden, was very nice as well, thank you ladies and Drayden! Roy Rogers, you got a new loyal client, thank you...
Read moreThis is not a rant. It's an honest review. We went to Roy Rogers to buy a family meal to go yesterday. I have several expired Groupons that still have a cash balance that never expires. This was not the first time that I used one at this location; the Mgr has to manually validate it on the cash register. I showed it to 2 employees, explained that it wasn't the first time and asked if one of them was a Mgr. Suddenly they switched their language to Spanish. I knew enough to know they weren't going to allow me to use it. I said Senora, Que? One replied that she was in charge of the store but wouldn't honor it. I asked her to read the highlighted print that said the purchase amount NEVER expires. She replied again that she wouldn't do it and for me to call the office, have them call her and then return to the store. I asked if she knew what good customer service was and that I was going to write a review about this. She walked away, leaving the cashier to talk with me. She apologized, and, to her credit, tried to validate the Groupon several times. No success. So, my wife told me place an order, pay for it in full and go home. The original order would have been over $35. Instead I ordered just 2 sandwiches for $12 and left. Poor...
