I truly believe that the fried chicken made at this place were meant to break a persons jaw I have several complaints first The chicken in the fried chicken are extremely dry and bland I can’t emphasize this enough when I’m biting into it it tastes like it had been left sitting there for weeks waiting to be given to someone else it’s stale I’ll input a picture just for proof. Second the crust is extremely hard and way to salty I couldn’t even bite into it dang near felt like I was biting into a bone. I started banging the chicken on a table and it sounded like I was ramming a stone. Bought 6 chickens can threw half of them away it wasn’t edibles and I’m not going to have my jaw sore by the end of my meal I started suffocating more trying to eat the chicken than the biscuit. The biscuits in this place are good there very buttery which I like but the chicken might be the worst chicken I’ve ever eaten in my whole life can go to a 7/11 and probably find something better.

First time visiting this Roy Rogers since the major fire that struck the Belle View shopping center where it is located. It amazing how the layout has changed from the original layout. The place looks well maintained and very clean it's evident that the employees promote a caring culture The Famous Roy Rogers Roast Beef sandwich is still great to eat. There is a lot of local residents that patronize this location everyday. Good cheap eats that fill your belly. Roy Rogers Fried chicken is awesome as well. Next time there try one of their small fresh garden salad ad well. See yah again.

- food was really good, the spicy chicken sandwich had a nice flavor, was moist and a good amount of spicy which was not really that hot but a little kick here and there. The fries we fresh and Mac and cheese was really good as well, super cheesey. - staff were really friendly and had good attitudes. - service was quick, got my order in under 5 minutes during a time where they were not super busy. - place was clean and organized. - plenty of parking due to the location. - prices not bad for the area. - overall a good first experience at this location, i'd recommend it.

Been going to Roy Rogers since the ‘70s (used to be one at the Stamp Student Union at U of M that I’d spent many a cram session in). My old girlfriend used to work at the Roy Rogers in Waldorf back when they had to wear a cowboy hat and greet the customers with, “Howdy, pardner. Welcome to Roy Rogers, may I take your order?” They almost went extinct thanks to Hardee’s buying them out and closing most of them, but they’ve slowly started coming back in the MD/VA/PA region. There’s always a line around the block when a new Roy’s opens because people still remember the Double R Bar Burgers, fresh fried chicken, real roast beef (not that lunchmeat nonsense at Arby’s) and it’s still as good as it ever was. The chicken is indeed on the salty side, but it was like that back when Marriott brought the Pappy Parker’s Fried Chicken recipe over from Hot Shoppes. So if you’re watching your blood pressure, you might want to skip it. They have a rotating menu of new items every few months; it’s Steak & Cheese, Apple Crisp, and Onion Rings this month. The Texas Pete Chicken Sandwich is as good if not better than Popeye’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the Gold Rush Chicken Sandwich blows Chik-fil-A out of the water. Service is snappy, but they do a lot of tour bus sales from the Mount Vernon crowd, so it can get packed at lunchtime, but they still manage to move everyone through in a reasonable amount of time. They make everything fresh, so they’ll occasionally run low on chicken and you’ll have to wait 10 minutes while they fry a fresh batch, but it’s definitely worth the wait for chicken fresh out of the fryer. It’s not the cheapest fast food, but you get a quality meal and you can still top your sandwich the way you like at the Fixins Bar (I do white onion and horsie sauce on my roast beef, L/T/M & pickles on my burgers). It’s always immaculate since the staff is always cleaning everything down (“If you have time to lean, you have time to clean,” as my old boss used to say). There’s always an older Breakfast Bunch crowd hovering over their hot coffee and biscuits and gravy (they’re one of the few places you can still get creamed chipped beef) and there’s always plenty of seating so you never feel crowded. I’ve been to the Fort Belvoir, Kingstowne, and Frederick shops and of all of them, this one is the best run. Highly recommended if you want fast food that’s real food and...

The food was okay but the staff they have is very rude.Me and my wife have been coming here for over 20 years and we have never seen such bad service as we did today. We came December 24th expecting to see a happy employee at the cash register but she gave me a look that made it obvious she didn’t even want to take my order. When she was giving me my chances she back I expected her to say happy holidays or Have a merry Christmas or anything special since it was Christmas Eve but the only thing she did was threw my change in my hand and walked away from the register. While I was waiting for my order I kept noticing she kept giving me dirty looks and whispering to her other coworkers and laughing.I don’t like conflicts so I just decided to ignore her and her actions and continue to peacefully wait for my order to be ready. When I saw my order was ready I expected her to at least peacefully place my order on the counter and ask me if I wanted anything else but instead she literally threw my tray on the table while looking at me with a dirty look.I don’t know what was wrong with her honestly but I wish the manager would have seen the way she was treating me.becasue it was compeletly unacceptable.I will not be coming back here as long as she works there. She was lucky that day since I didn’t see the manager anywhere near but if I ever go back there and see her at the cash register I will not let her...

this place has been real good and consistent and with a 'competitive' price so one thing i'll really enjoy is afterwards doing their surveys where i try to come up with 'brilliant ideas' um the place is nice in the shopping center near my parents suite (but honestly am i the only one that misses the benches and some of the 'grit' of yesteryear seeing some 'riff raff' get comfortable and have a good time) the menu is pretty good i'll like the gold rush sandwich the spicy chicken sandwich 2pc fried chicken white meat um mozzarella sticks fries mashed potatoes with gravy mac n cheese um the brand is pretty cool hearing they started with hotels i watched some youtube about it and additionally watched some westerns from yesteryear like roy rogers john wayne gabbie hayes being some of the big names i'll really try to stretch this out into more then just a pit stop fill up thinking of fun stuff like not playing dungeons and dragons due to dangers or a college campus vibe the fix ins bar is nice i'll get jalapenos pickles and banana peppers enjoying the spicy and vinegar kick um the place always seems tight and professional and the workers can be charming too

oh by the way it was real cool one time hearing cal ripken would be at the mount vernon location for a 50th anniversary i went that day so him...
