Went in hoping to enjoy a NY style pizza and came out extremely upset and with a loss of an appetite. Not a great way to let your customer leave your establishment, especially after erroneously being charged $39 for a large pizza. For starters my boyfriend is from the Bronx, NY and this pizza is not NY style at all. No problem, we could live with that. We’re in VA at the end of the day. What really matters in this business is the service. The service was unbelievably bad. The old lady with the blonde hair has a horrible attitude. Carlos, the cashier over charged us about $8 for a pizza and when I asked about it because I thought it was absurd, the old lady working the register tried to fix it but instead met us with a snarky “hold on, give me a minute, I’m working on it.” The audacity to have an attitude after YOU made a mistake….. in that moment two incompetent employees couldn’t make a right so they told us it was only a $.40 difference. Ok, no problem. We didn’t hear an apology, no types of remorse, didn’t even offer us a complimentary cookie. Literally just watched us be upset. On top of that, I gave her a chance to fix it by communicating with her that I was unhappy with the service and all she had to say about that was that it was an “honest mistake” and she shrugged us off. On top of all that, we had to stop at the local McDonald’s to buy ranch due to the employees forgetting about it when we initially asked for it when placing the order. If I could rate this experience 0...

Today was a disaster. I felt like they didn't respect me as a customer. I came in and ordered my 8" sub and garlic rolls (with a bottle of water and tip, just over $20). During about 15 minutes, I watching others get their orders before I did even though my simple order was first. About 10 minutes in I tried flagging down a couple of employees, and they acted like they couldn't hear me. They simply ignored me. Eventually, they came out with the garlic rolls and said the sub was on its way. He recited the wrong order, so I corrected him but didn't think to mention everything. He responded snidely along the lines, "Of course I knew that." It took another five minutes after that before my sub came and, you guessed it, it was wrong. About 2-3 minutes later, I finally had the rest of my order. People make mistakes, but they don't make that many mistakes in a single order unless they don't care, and the way they spoke to me is consistent with my interpretation. While this was the worst incident ever, I've always received an attitude from them, which until now I just let go. I understand that food service can be difficult, which is why I tip well and am always exceptionally polite and forgiving. But this incident means I'm finished with this place. I'm sure they'll survive, but they really shouldn't if they...

I went to Santini's yesterday on my way to taking a friend to the airport. Typically I love Santina's! The food is awesome. Yesterday-The service was questionable. I placed an order for a cheesesteak and a calzone. They brought me a calzone-prepped, baked and served before they could even finish a cheesesteak. The calzone took about 12-15 minutes, the normal. About 5 minutes later I went to the counter and asked what was up with the sandwich. The guy joked a little and said that the cook was a little backed up. There were about 4-5 people standing in front doing nothing while this poor cook was struggling. so as I sat there and watched others come in, place orders, and walk out with their food...I sat...and sat...and sat, for THIRTY minutes...for a cheesesteak. It was so bad that I finally had to get going because I needed to get my friend to the airport. When I told them I wanted my money back they FINALLY said, "Oh wait! Here comes your sandwich now." To which I responded, " I do not want it because I need to go." They did give me back my money, but really-THIRTY minutes for a cheesesteak with 4-5 people chilling out including one guy I didn't see do a whole lot of ANYTHING the whole time I was there. Not what I expect from this establishment. Good food...crap service. Make your own choice with this...

Man I wish I could rate this higher since I work nearby and love a good deli. Stagedoor in NYC is my favorite (and a high bar). However, it’s a mediocre experience across the board here. Something seems to be burning each time I walk in. The last visit my fries had a burnt hint so maybe that day it was the fryer oil. The checkout person hasn’t been friendly, not even looking at me during the checkout process. Then the multiple large tips jars and request for tips with a credit card counter checkout seemed ironic. I get it, I might be in minority here but didn’t grow up paying a tip for for these types of transactions, although I would when there is at least a smile when taking my payment. The restroom was out of hand soap, yuck. What are employees doing? My sandwiches have been okay at least and I guess that’s the whole idea which is why I gave some stars.

My order was forgotten and it took 35 minutes to get my order. I told the cashier that all the other customers who ordered after me had received their orders and that I did not. She didn’t do much so I had to go tell the kitchen staff that my order was not fulfilled. They laughed at this situation and it took them another ten minutes to fulfill my order. I guess they don’t understand that workers get only one hour of lunch time around here. Also the sandwiches here are pretty disgusting.

Several times I have come here to dine and it has more often taken at least 30 mins to get served the order I placed. The food is good and it is a very popular place (I understand), but I am always disappointed by having to wait so long. Especially when I see other customers get served TWICE before I get my sandwich and fries! Also, they NEVER apologize for disappointing service! It is just sad, there is so much potential but they rarely produce quality service.
