It's a Starbucks, it's properly socially distanced, it has all the Starbucks stuff. It's one of the only places on campus with outdoor dining where you can actually socialize, which I don't see why that wouldn't be fine because we're still socially distanced. The place wouldn't be legally open if we weren't. There are breakfast snacks, even on campus, even organic like Starbucks, that aren't overpriced and stale. There's better coffee, there's cheaper coffee, there's better cheaper coffee, and there are coffee milkshakes with way fewer calories. But personally, I actually like the infamous burned Starbucks beans.
The roasting and brewing is not so bad that you end up with hotel lobby soap-like coffee. It increases the strength of the coffee flavor just enough that it can cut through almost any flavoring, which I like because no matter what's in my coffee, I want to taste coffee. I always get the darkest roast available anywhere that makes drinkable coffee. Starbucks darkest roast tastes darker than the rest, and to the foodie snobs, I really don't care what's supposedly technically wrong with their process that makes...

They are the better Starbucks on campus. The other one doesn’t follow basic hygienic practices. Neither locations can make a coffee or espresso without making it super bitter. There isn’t any amount of milk, sweetener, or water you can add to change the taste.
EDIT:
When I tell you this is the worst starbucks this semester I mean it. One of the works continuously messes up the order regardless of people’s allergies. The allergy sign is for cross contamination not you messing up the order. Which they’ve done multiple times. If I hadn’t watched then I would’ve been hospitalized. My drink also did not come out after I had ordered before EVERYONE else. I’ve been here 30 minutes. All one of them did was look at me and smile. I hope the Uni gets their contract pulled. I can’t believe they’re allowed to...
Read moreGreat spot to grab a coffee on campus, or to hang out and study, especially on weekends when it’s not too crowded (weekdays often get really busy and it can be hard to find a seat). It’s super nice to have a real “coffee shop” location that’s within easy walking distance as an on-campus student; I quite like coffee shops as study spaces and the other on-campus coffee places don’t provide the cozy atmosphere that this spot does. I almost always order ahead through the app so I can’t say much about the service here, but the couple times I ordered in person last year were positive experiences. Regardless, I definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking to grab a coffee and/or a quick meal, or if you’re like me and want a cool coffee shop to hang out in while preparing for that...
