Since I started at GMU, I've been a regular customer at this place. However, I won't be going back since my most recent experience did not live up to the level of quality and service that I'd come to expect from Panda Express.
I prefer to drink water due to my health, since I was diagnosed with obesity last year. Yesterday, when I was about to pay for my order, I asked the cashier if I could have a cup for water (as I've done dozens of times with no issue), only to be told that they "don't do water cups anymore" and that they are available for 99 cents. This was allegedly their response to dishonest loser customers who would help themselves to a free drink in lieu of water.
The employee could easily have given me (a loyal customer until this week) a water cup on this one occasion as a courtesy while informing me of their new policy so I know to plan around it in the future. A manager could easily have put a conspicuous sign on the door saying "NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER CUPS" and I would've simply chosen to eat elsewhere. If you're going to suddenly stop providing something that's an industry standard, is some notice too much to ask?
Caught totally off guard, I just paid for my food and got to eat lunch with no water. Luckily I didn't choke on anything, since there was nothing to drink, but I sure was thirsty afterwards.
After all the times I've paid full price for my food and followed all the rules, this is what I get- punishment for others' crimes and the choice to either buy something I wasn't planning to, or get nothing to drink because I didn't bring...
Read moreI am a regular customer here and throughout the year it has become worst. Panda was much better when they had women working in the front because they were more nice and friendly. Today, I do not know what it was, but as a customer, I had to ask to make a donation instead of the cashier asking me. I am always making donations every time I eat here but whats the point of making a donation when the customer has to ask to make it. What is the point of having cashiers if you are just gonna be a machine handing out food without processing it and offering proper friendly customer service. Also today, they started handing food without going through the register so you will not know what you are being charged for. Panda needs more workers who actually care about their customers experience rather than throwing food on the customers hand without processing it, and making you believe you are just a robot that comes and goes. As a cashier, you have to communicate with the customer and today, there was zero communication what so ever. They hand you food and tell you the price. Thats all they do. As a customer, you feel like an animal here. Hire...
Read moreI ordered Honey Walnut shrimp which was out and had to wait a couple of minutes which is completely understandable. When my food was ready, I had already paid and was patiently sitting and waiting. A woman signaled to me that it was ready and I made my way to the counter which had 5 people in line waiting to pay and the other lady who was suppose to bring me my food, threw my bag with food in front of another customer who was fourth in line and I had to excuse myself as I walked behind four people to get my food and disturb them too, as he was about to reach for my food and I had to excuse myself and let him know it was mine. Awful customer service skills and won't be returning because I'm not a fan of getting my food that was paid for thrown in front of another customer rudely while the employee walks away as soon as she threw it. Definitely won't be recommend, fortunately there's plenty of places to eat at campus....
