2/5 stars because 2/5 is the number of visits that actually go smoothly. The food and drink are great, the employees are awesome at making the drinks and following any order customizations. The problem is that there is zero sense of urgency in this store. They are consistently slower than any other store in the Gainesville Warrenton or Manassas area. On top of that there’s only a select few that show any concern that they are clearly behind and communicate with you. Today I stood at the pick up bar for 12 minutes with my drink wrapped in a napkin (for some odd reason it was the only drink they served anyone without a sleeve) while I waited for my breakfast sandwich. There was a girl making espresso drinks and a gentleman making cold drinks behind her, both near the pick up bar and at most 5 feet away from me. Both of them made eye contact with me multiple times and would immediately look away. She just seemed so unenthused to be at work and when she would put a drink down on the bar for pickup she would say it so quietly even I could barely hear what she was saying. Neither of them ever asked what I needed or why I was still waiting there. I had to go to the register and ask if there was a breakfast for me and of there wasn’t just to cancel it and the girl walked over to a pile of warmed food on the counter next to the oven and handed it to me. No I’m sorry you had to wait this long, no explanation as to why none of the warmed foods weren’t in the pick up area or direction that maybe you’re supposed to pick up your drink on one side of the store and food on the other, nothing. Read moreThis is usually my go to Starbucks but today was not a good experience. I ordered a caramel Frappuccino with a shot of espresso. I walked in after the timing that was said on the app and I waited almost 15 minutes extra for my drink. The 2 girls were in there talking about how they were going to have a Harry Potter movie night and this that and the third. The one girl started finally making my drink and even though my drink stated light whip, the entire bottom was filled with whipped cream. She then put my drink in the blender and left it there asthey kept on talking and talking and talking and making other drinks, I had to actually go up to the counter and ask the girl to put my drink in the cup so I could leave. Majority of the cup was filled with whipped cream and the majority of my drink was left in the blender. Pretty disappointing when I paid for a shot of espresso for no reason. Read moreI have nothing but bad experiences at this Starbucks. I have come to this one 3 times recently and each time they mess up my drink. Just a standard Java Chip Frappuccino. I don't understand how something that looks like it is filled with chocolate syrup can taste like water. I might as well have COVID with how flavorless all three of those drinks had been. Normally I would say something and request them to remake it, but I didn't feel like waiting ANOTHER 30 minutes for my drink. There were 8 employees working and all seemed to be making drinks for mobile orders instead of the people that ordered in store, which I understand, but I came in to order because I assumed it wasn't busy. It would be nice to know there are 25 drink orders that must be prepared ahead of mine. And my daughter just told me her drink wasn't good either. So make that two drinks I wasted time and money on.
